She has received numerous awards, including the 34th Japan Academy Film Prize as Excellent Supporting Actress for her performance in A Lone Scalpel.

Slipping in between those two was Hayabusa: The Long Voyage Home, concentrating on the people on the ground who helped return the probe safely.
