Quando uma sombria e religiosa comunidade é sacudida pela morte de uma criança, uma psiquiatra é chamada para examinar Dorothy Mills, a adolescente acusada do crime. Apesar da resistência dos moradores, a terapeuta logo suspeita que Dorothy sofre de distúrbio de múltipla personalidade. Mas quando a garota fala com a voz do filho recém-falecido da médica, o que inicialmente parecia loucura pode ser o que os moradores acreditam... Dorothy pode ser um canal com os mortos.

Quando a jovem Catherine Morland tem a oportunidade de ir morar com a família Allen em Bath, ela espera ter também a chance de viver aventuras românticas como aquelas que sempre leu nos livros. The hot-tempered, unruly players of this pub league soccer team are in dire straits after having lost everything -- their drive, their skills and soon, their playing field. When mysterious Walter Keegan shows up offering to be their coach, captain Bubbles and the rest of his loopy, obnoxious teammates are so desperate to succeed, they agree to give him the job. Drilled into the ground with a fierce discipline they have never known, the team pushes beyond their aches and pains to gain not only redemption on the field, but more importantly, their self-respect.

The movie starts at the 1998 bomb attack by the Real IRA at Omagh, Northern Ireland. The attack killed 31 people. Michael Gallagher one of the relatives of the victims starts an examination to bring the people responsible to court.

Liverpool. 1947. Right after World War II, a star struck naive teenage girl joins a shabby theatre troupe in Liverpool. During a winter production of Peter Pan, the play quickly turns into a dark metaphor for youth as she becomes drawn into a web of sexual politics and intrigue and learns about the grown-up world of the theater.
