Os habitantes de uma comunidade cercada por uma floresta temem que perigosas criaturas vivam lá. Eles pensam que se ficarem fora da floresta, eles serão deixados ilesos. Quando uma das moradoras da vila fica doente, o menino que a ama ignora os mais velhos da vila para ir à próxima cidade em busca de remédio.
