J.D. Flitner arrives in Asuncion to strike a deal with crime lord Brasiguayo to grow marijuana on land he owns. Things take a dark turn for J.D. when Brasiguayo's lieutenant plans a coup during a trip through the streets.
Arami Ullón must return to Paraguay to make an important decision: what will happen to her sick mother, Mirna? The heartfelt gaze of the camera reveals a relationship filled with love, but also unspoken and unresolved issues. A sensitive film which examines the inner turmoil of the daughter during the final stages of her mother’s degenerative illness.

Victoria is a taciturn and shabby young woman who walks around collecting herbs from the forest. She is homeless and sleeps in the open air. She believes in God and has kept her virginity. A young doctor called Juan Bautista, who suffers from chronic migraine, arrives in town to write his thesis on neurosurgery. Victoria falls in love with the doctor from the start. She asks help from her two-faced friend Malena who embellishes her. Malena even gives Victoria a new wardrobe and make-up. Victoria manages to be hired as the doctor's maid. Victoria makes an attempt to get closer to Juan Bautista supplying him with some herbs for his migraine trying to seduce him and to show her love for him.

Em 1884, o famoso pintor uruguaio Juan Manuel Blanes é incumbido de dar forma ao rosto de Jose Artigas, o lendário libertador do Uruguai que, mesmo acuado por todos os lados, lidera um exército popular organizado no interior do país. As fontes de Blanes são os rascunhos de Guzman Larra, espião espanhol que 70 anos antes havia sido contratado para assassinar Artigas. Quando os destinos isolados desses três homens se cruzam, nasce um novo sentido para cada um deles e para seu povo.
