Arnulfo (Kristyan Ferrer) é um jovem traficante de armas mexicano que trabalha para um cartel de drogas. O que ele não sabe é que está sendo vigiado pelo agente americano Hank Harris (Tim Roth) da ATF, uma organização conhecida por seus métodos duvidosos. Mas quando Harris comete um erro fatal, Arnulfo entra em pânico, decidindo fazer o agente de réfem e entregá-lo para seus clientes no México. Na viagem, porém, os dois acabam criando um forte laço, enquanto o destino final só se aproxima.
