Em O Milagre, inspirado no fenômeno do século 19 das "garotas em jejum" e adaptado do aclamado romance de Emma Donoghue (Quarto), na Irlanda de 1862, uma jovem para de comer, mas permanece milagrosamente viva e bem. A enfermeira inglesa Lib Wright é levada a essa pequena vila para observar Anna O'Donnell, de onze anos. Turistas e peregrinos se reúnem para testemunhar a menina que teria sobrevivido sem comida por meses. Missing her gran terribly, Marcia is surrounded by bullying schoolgirls, racism on TV and a jealous younger brother... Only her favourite pop star will help her feel at home. Concrete Garden is a wonderfully observed graduation film from director Alrick Riley. With warm performances from a young cast and exquisite detail in the production design, this tender short film powerfully evokes the trials and tribulations faced by kids settling in 1950s Britain.
