Shannon percebe que seu namorado, Ray , um escultor de som, está cada vez mais desatento. Após irem até uma discoteca, ambas retornam para a casa dela e ouvem conversas de celulares, através do equipamento de Ray. Uma destas conversas deixa claro que um algum banco está sendo assaltado. Elas vão até a polícia, que não acredita na história delas. Como Frances pegou o número do celular, ela convence Shannon que poderiam chantagear os ladrões.
