Em 2014, no momento em que começa a Guerra em Donbas, o casal de ucranianos Irka e Tolik vive na região da fronteira entre seu país e a Rússia. Ela está grávida, e se recusa a abandonar sua casa, mesmo quando seu vilarejo é tomado pelas forças armadas. Tudo fica ainda mais complicado quando um avião civil é abatido e cai na região.

The crow ends up on the shoulder of the scarecrow, but after the storm, the scarecrow is stripped from its clothes and believers discover the holy cross instead of it, and now the poor bird is kicked out from his new safe place as well...

Gia, a soldier of oppositional forces during the civil war, needs to get medicine for his sick son. While on a desperate search for the drugs, he accidentally encounters a school buddy, who's fighting on the opposite side.
