Vladimir's Grandfather
Um saxofonista do circo de Moscou sente uma incrível falta de liberdade em seu país. Quando o circo faz uma exibição em Nova York, Anatoly Cherkasov (Elya Baskin), o palhaço do circo, pensa em desertar e pedir asilo político, mas não consegue por ter uma crise nervosa. Mas Vladimir toma a decisão de desertar quando vão fazer compras na Bloomingdale's, onde é ajudado por Lionel Witherspoon (Cleavant Derricks), um segurança da loja que o convida a ficar em sua casa. Ivanoff faz uma lenta e dolorosa transição de cidadão russo para americano, sendo ajudado por Lucia Lombardo (Maria Conchita Alonso), uma vendedora da loja que acaba se tornando sua namorada. Lucia é italiana e sonha logo em ter sua cidadania legalizada. Vladimir também é ajudado por Orlando Ramirez (Alejandro Rey), um advogado especialista em imigração que há vinte anos atrás fugiu de Cuba em um pequeno barco. Vladimir vai se acostumando com os novos hábitos e conhece o estranho e apaixonante "american way of life".

A Soviet cruise ship "Evgeni Onegin" is carrying cages with tigers and lions for a Soviet Circus. One loose monkey unlocks all cages, letting the tigers and lions out. Poor passengers and crew have no place to run. The captain abandons his post out of fear, and the monkey takes over the captain's post. The ship gets under total control by the tigers and lions. Only one lady is standing up to the challenge. Her name is Marianna, she loves animals, and she takes the situation under control.

Senor Quexana has read so many books on chivalry that he believes that he is the knight Don Quixote de la Mancha. So Don Quixote sets off on his horse, accompanied by his squire Sancho Panza on a mule, to perform valiant deeds. They mistakenly save the Lady Altisidora who is so amused that she invites them to visit the Duke to provide some merriment at court. Among other deeds, Don Quixote frees some prisoners, who then turn upon him, and Don Quixote attacks a windmill that he imagines is a monstrous wizard.
