Alice Rohrwacher (Florença, 29 de dezembro de 1980) é uma diretora, editora e roteirista italiana. Em 2011, dirigiu seu primeiro longa-metragem, Heavenly Body, que estreou na Quinzena dos Realizadores durante o Festival de Cinema de Cannes 2011 com aclamação da crítica. Seu segundo longa-metragem, "As Maravilhas", ganhou o Grand Prix no Festival de Cannes de 2014. Ela anunciou as filmagens de seu terceiro filme Lazzaro Felice em 2017. O filme estreou no Festival de Cinema de Cannes de 2018, onde ganhou o prêmio de Melhor Roteiro.

The Istituto Luce turned ninety in 2014, its decades-long history intertwined with that of Italy itself, through cinema and that unique treasure trove of images known to all as the Luce Archives. To celebrate its anniversary, some of the most acclaimed rising filmmakers in Italy were invited to make a small film, with each director selecting ten minutes of footage from the archives, out of the thousands of hours of footage to be found there. However, the games and religious pop songs she encounters there do not nearly satisfy her interest in faith. Struggling to find her place, Marta pushes the boundaries of the class, the priest, and the church.
