Юные футболисты прозвали своего предводителя Феолой в честь великого тренера непобедимой бразильской сборной. Это комический рассказ об управдоме, которому спущена директива создать детскую футбольную команду и включить ее во всесоюзный розыгрыш. Бедный управдом никогда на стадионе не был и о футболе имеет самые смутные представления. Но, привыкнув подчиняться формальным директивам своего начальства, он приступает к их формальному выполнению. Из всего, что надо знать новоявленному тренеру, он усвоил одно - игры будут проводиться по олимпийской системе, то есть проигравшая команда выбывает. Тренер старается, чтобы его команда проиграла, а она, как назло, выигрывает одну игру за другой.
