The Highwaymen - Live American Outlaws contains a previously unreleased full-length concert film recorded live at Nassau Coliseum, Uniondale, New York, March 14, 1990 and transferred from the original film reels especially for this collection.

Looking back, why did it take ten years to finally lure Waylon Jennings to the Austin City Limits stage for his first performance? Like everything else about the man, he did things his own way - when he was damn good and ready. Maybe it had something to do with that other Texas singer, that Red-Headed Stranger who shook things up in Austin and country music in general. Waylon wasn't sure what the fuss was all about (as he sang, It don t matter who is in Austin, Bob Wills is STILL the King! ). This special package contains both a CD and DVD of Waylon Jenning s FIRST Austin City Limit s performance, recorded in August 1984.

From historic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, Tenn., comes this collection of 15 Grand Ole Opry performances, including Johnny Cash singing "Folsom Prison Blues" and George Jones delivering "The Race Is On." Among the other honky-tonk legends are Ray Price ("Heartaches by the Number"), Porter Wagoner ("Misery Loves Company"), Dave Dudley ("Six Days on the Road"), Ernest Tubb ("Walking the Floor Over You") and Bobby Bare ("Detroit City").

Waylon Jennings played his last major concert at Nashville's historic Ryman Auditorium in January 2000. Never Say Die: The Final Concert Film features that moving performance revisiting his greatest hits—done, as always, on his terms. Recorded on January 5-6, 2000.

The Live From Austin, Texas series takes the classic performances from the award-winning Austin City Limits TV show and makes them available to consumers with improved audio quality and bonus songs that were cut from the original broadcast. This latest set includes performances from some of country music’s Outlaws including Waylon Jennings, trailblazers who didn’t follow the trends and refused to play by the rules set by Music Row. This release is taken from Waylon's April 1989 visit to the Austin City Limits stages.

Waylon Jennings appeared at the US Festival on June 4, 1983. It was billed as Country Day, with Waylon performing alongside such artists as Willie Nelson, Alabama, Hank Williams, Jr., and Emmylou Harris. Waylon's performance was one of the day's many highlights, and he is joined onstage by wife Jessi Colter for a particularly memorable rendition of 'Storms Never Last.' The US Festival was held over two weekends in 1982 and 1983. Steve Wozniak, cofounder of Apple Computer, funded the concerts and accompanying technology exposition, as well as the construction of a brand-new outdoor venue in Glen Helen Regional Park in San Bernadino, CA. Nearly every musical genre was represented by bands as diverse as U2, Fleetwood Mac, David Bowie, Ozzy Osbourne, Willie Nelson, Van Halen, The Police and The Clash. Over the combined seven days of the festival, more than one million people passed through the entrance gates.

Highlights include: Jones and Tammy Wynette sing "Golden Ring"; Waylon Jennings sings "Honky-Tonk Heroes"; Jennings and Jessie Colter sing "Storms Never Let"; Jones and Jennings perform "Good-Hearted Woman"; Emmylou Harris with "One of These Days"; Harris and Jones sing "Here I Am"; bespectacled rocker Elvis Costello joins Jones on "Tonight the Bottle Let Me Down" and "Stranger in the House"; Tanya Tucker sings "Biggest Promenade"; Jones performs "The Race Is On," and joins his daughter Georgette for "Daddy, Come Home."

Susan Blakey plays Sally Jo Purkey, a factory worker who leads a rebellion among her co-workers for equal rights by forming a company football team for women and hires a down-on-his-luck coach (Eddie Albert) to make them winners.

On the evening of August 12, 1978, Waylon Jennings and The Waylons performed on the concert stage of the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, Tennessee. The master recordings of this concert were never released and had been locked in the vaults of RCA Records, long forgotten since 1978. The songs embodied in this performance capture Waylon Jennings and his band at the height of the country music "Outlaw" period, ample evidence of the extraordinary and individualistic writing and singing talents of Waylon Jennings. Now presented for the first time in its entirety, exactly as it was recorded on August 12, 1978.

When a Hootenanny comes to town, it just discovered that Arlin not only has an exciting voice, he also is a gifted guitar player. He is soon appearing on the Grand Ole Opry stage in Nashville.
