Это действительно игра. Самоотверженность идет рука об руку с предательством, неизбежность жертв с героизмом, чувство самосохранения с отчаянным риском. И эти люди не работают, они играют, манипулируя своими и чужими судьбами. И здесь нет места своим чувствам, желаниям и сентиментальности.Все воспоминания Натана Муира об его работе с Томом Бишопом во Вьетнаме, ГДР и Бейруте посвящены именно этому. И если бы больше ничего в этом фильме не было, то это действительно был бы отличный шпионский триллер. Не какой-то там вариант бондиады, а вполне реалистичное и очень эмоциональное кино. Но все воспоминания вплетены в совершенно глупую историю, которая приключилась с Бишопом в Китае.

In a small port town at the end of the 19th century children are disappearing. A mysterious man in black who stalks the town may be Death itself. And nine-year-old Laurin is suffering terrifying dreams and hallucinations of a man carrying a sack and frightened children calling for help from behind closed windows.
Savanyú and his friend work at a plant. After the monotonous shifts they engage in the pleasures of the afternoon and the night, i.e. parties and concerts. Savanyú dates Juli, they are already engaged. The young men live as sub-tenants, the young women in workers' hostels. None of these places are suited for spending time together. They are in need of an apartment. Out of the ruinous apartment which they lay siege on, however, they are sent away by the otherwise friendly policeman. At a concert held in the Park of Youth, Juli gets to know Géza. They flirt, then go to the country with a pop-group. Savanyú and his friends follow them. A minor fight cools the atmosphere.

This film is based on the logic of the associations, telling the story of teenagers of the day. Three boys find shelter from a storm in a villa at Lake Balaton. When the owners suddenly appear, only two of them can escape. Kiki is stuck in the larder. Waiting for his release, he recalls different stories in his mind, memories and the images of his imagination are mingled.
