José Luis Sepúlveda

Filmmaker, with studies at Universidad Arcis and at the School of San Antonio de los Baños in Cuba. His first feature film is "El Pejesapo" (2007), which becomes a true milestone of Chilean independent cinema, being exhibited at the Locarno Film Festival. His work is characterized by a marked militancy for the resistance and social cinema, approaching topics such as poverty, marginality and the lack of opportunities given in the class differences. Together with Carolina Adriazola she co-directs "Mythomaniac" (2009), "Chronicle of a Committee" (2014), Il Siciliano (2017) and Harley Queen (2019). He is co-founder of the Festival of Social and Antisocial Film FECISO.

In a secluded house in a small seaside town live four unrelated men and the woman who tends to the house and their needs. All former priests, they have been sent to this quiet exile to purge the sins of their pasts, the separation from their communities the worst form of punishment by the Church.
