После смерти Хатико и в силу широкого резонанса, который получила эта история, на станции Шибуя в Токио, на том месте, где он в течение 9 лет каждый день в 5 часов вечера приходил и ждал хозяина, было решено воздвигнуть бронзовый памятник в 1934г. в его честь. Сегодня памятник Хатико это – дань уважения преданности и верности, которой характеризуется эта порода.
