В это же время некогда всерьез увлеченный бейсболом мальчик, который почти половину жизни провел на поле, бросает игру и ссорится с лучшим другом. Но затем вместе они встречают загадочную девушку по имени Норда, как раз в тот момент, когда на школу обрушивается свирепое «чудовище», воплощенное в виде сильнейшего тайфуна.
Hiyoko wants to become an artist like her mother, but her father would prefer that she took a different career path. Enraged when she notices that he took all paintings done by her mother from the house, she decides to run away. Unable to find a place to sleep among her acquaintances, she ends up at Asylum Stadium, an abandoned field that is shelter for many homeless, but that is about to be torn down by the government. There she meets Akira, a strange individual capable of flying.
Kozue loves to stargaze and does so regularly. On a trip to view a meteorite, she happens to meet a boy named Ginga. He has a mysterious ability to discover more information about the stars, which he uses to help scientists with astronomical research. Unfortunately, his life is mostly dictated for him, and when carrying out missions, he must always wear a protective suit. Kozue helps Ginga to gradually take control of his life by encouraging him to make his own decisions.
