Production Design
Merjem-Meri, an unambitious, 30-year-old homemaker and mother to 8-year-old girl Mila, moves back to her parental home after 10 years of marriage. Soon after, Meri realizes she is stuck in a circle of provincial rules and expectations and a complex relationship with her ambitious mother and spoiled younger brother. Her hope to get the custody of her daughter wanes from day to day because she has no chance of finding a permanent job. The only thing that makes her happy, but also makes everyone else look down on her, is participation in an audition for a film role in her neighborhood.

Armin has been unemployed for a long time, and in desperately need of a job. His wife Jasmina is pregnant, and his son Edin has behavioral problems at school.

Since Zlatan fled the war in former Yugoslavia, his contact with his homeland has only consisted of him regularly sending money to his old aunt who is the only surviving relative there. Now his adult daughter is set on visiting Sarajevo (Zlatan’s hometown) together with him in order to walk the streets of his youth and hear his story. Despite initial unwillingness, Zlatan lets himself be persuaded and the reunion with the home country brings both absurd surprises and secrets from the past.

Один из таких политических беженцев, Дивко Бунтич, по возвращении в город детства начинает осуществлять личную месть своим обидчикам. Он вернулся не с пустыми руками: новая, на сорок лет младше его, жена, новый «Мерседес», черный кот и внушительный банковский счет. Первым актом отмщения для Дивко становится вышвыривание экс жены и сына из их старого дома. Благодаря деньгам Дивко побеждает во всех своих делах и, кажется, что ничто не помешает достичь герою полной сатисфакции. Но жизнь бывает полна сюрпризов: надвигающаяся война рассудит по-своему.

Snow offers insight about the psychological aftereffects of the 1992-95 civil war from a distinctively female point of view without showing any of the brutality or carnage.
