В маленькой деревушке в Квебеке происходит трагедия: в автокатастрофе погибает молодой человек и жизнь в деревне замирает. Никому не хочется обсуждать происшедшее - кажется, время потеряло всякий смысл. Нескончаемо тянутся морозные снежные зимние дни. Из тумана появляются таинственные существа и совершают странные поступки. Но порой странное оказывается более обычным, чем можно было бы предположить.
