Он пришел в состояние «овоща» из-за пули, попавшей в шею. Его покинули не только его соратниками из Джихада, но и его братья. В один день женщина решает рассказать своему молчаливому мужу правду об их отношениях и о своих чувствах. Она говорит о своем детстве, перенесенных страданиях, о своих срывах, одиночестве, мечтах, желаниях.. Она говорит вещи, которые никогда не смогла бы сказать раньше, даже несмотря на то, что они женаты уже 10 лет. In an act of vengeance, a young man randomly kills two police officers. He escapes to the forest, where he is arrested by two other officers. The three men are surrounded by trees, the woods. They are lost in a maze, a desolate landscape, where the boundaries between the hunter and the hunted are difficult to perceive.

A group of superstitious inhabitants have erected a scarecrow for protection but soon find themselves terrorized by it. Made at the end of the Shah’s reign, the film offers a metaphorical reflection on power relations — how people create their own idols who turn around to terrorize them.

He spends his last days alone in the magnificent rooms of his wintry palace, from where he recollects the glory days of his ancestors as well as days of degradation. Among the latter are the gruesome manner in which his cruel grandfather murdered his mother and brother, and the way that he himself caused the death of his wife.
