Michel Reilhac

History

Michel Reilhac, based in Amsterdam, has been Head of Submarine Channel since January 2017. Director of VR (Virtual Reality) films and the narrative architect of interactive storytelling, his last film, in VR, Viens!, made its world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival in January 2016. He is also a pioneer in transmedia storytelling formats and immersive, participatory and interactive experiences. Furthermore, he is Director of Studies at the Venice Biennale College-Cinema and is frequently invited to lecture and speak at international events (i.e. Cannes Film Festival, SXSW Austin, Tribeca Film Festival, Pixel Lab, Dixit, FEMIS, etc.). From 2002 to 2012, Michel was Head of Film Acquisitions at Arte France and Executive Director of Arte France Cinéma.
