Marriage Adventures (1959)

A police officer tries to discover the murderer of his brother, who was a pianist and a morphine. As a member of the Drug Enforcement Department, he tries to identify the head of a drug dealer gang. His unorthodox way of acting upsets his superiors, even though they allow him to continue his investigations. When the gang discovers that he is a police officer, he makes him a drug addict, but he manages to detoxify and eventually capture the gang's brain.

An engineer (Nikos Kourkoulos) oversees as a expert the cracks that have suffered a dam. The rumors that want the dam to collapse and drag people, panic the inhabitants of the surrounding area.

After his release from prison, Stathis visits a private investigator, Othonas, whom he had assigned many years ago to find his mother, who has been missing from the time of the German Occupation. When he meets Othonas, however, they quarrel because the detective hadn’t worked seriously enough on the case. Afterwards, Stathis takes control of his old gang again and sets up a few new scams, selling dreams and hopes to simple people. He soon realizes that he has lost his old love, Vana, who, while he was in prison, had become involved with his second-in- command, Michalis. Nevertheless, his bitterness is softened by Stella, Vana’s sister, who works at the Red Cross. He falls for her, and she responds in kind.

Thanasis is a good-looking taxi driver whose girlfriend is pushing him to marry. When an uncle from America gives him an expensive car, Thanasis' life will change. He will marry his beloved and, when uncle returns to Greece, he will run a car dealership on his behalf.

A cynical young man, Giorgos, who believes that in this life you need to steer clear of principles and attachments, clashes with his father, captain Manolis and abandons the management of the family’s shipyard. Determined to build his life again, he gets a job as a waiter in a large hotel and believes that he can also get rich by taking advantage of the sorrows and the loneliness of the wealthy.

A dark atmosphere pervades this film in true noir fashion. So does the feeling that our principals are trapped. They fight their way against economic forces and their status in life, and love might conquer all.

Two rich old friends, Andreas and Agisilaos are in love with young Rita. Andreas believes that is youth and not money that drive the world. He sells his soul to the devil, becomes young and flirts Rita. However, Andreas understands that youth alone is not enough and decides to give a dowry to lovely Rita so that she can marry the one she loves.

The son of the owner, Alkis, urges her to become a singer and, of course, she is not late to become a star. Some day, however, he learns that the orphanage was visited by an elderly gentleman, Mr. Nicolas, looking for a little girl he had left there many years ago, who was called Angeliki. He immediately searches for him, finds him and so father and daughter get together. Meanwhile, she is sexually related to Alkis.Aaccident, however, causes Angeliki to be blinded so goes to America for treatment. The forced separation and the existence of another woman do not ultimately alienate the young couple and their love will prove to be superior to all obstacles.

A young and pretty girl, Violeta, is in love with a kind young artist, Alekos. The feelings are mutual, but the two young people have to face a severe old maid, aunt Pinelopi.

In the end, he also wins the beautiful widow.

An intelligent and versatile woman, Evanthia, to marry her daughter Lella, takes French and good behavior lessons and begins to portray the brilliant aristocrat. In a resort of wealthy they are familiar with Babis, who also represents the rich man to find a rich bride.
