Sinopsis
Sur de Brasil, en 1963. Tony (Johnny Massaro), hijo de un francés y una brasileña, es un joven enamorado del cine y la poesía que, tras graduarse en la universidad, vuelve a su pequeña ciudad natal en el Brasil rural para descubrir que su padre (Vincent Cassel) ha regresado a Francia para siempre. Tony busca entonces la compañía de los amigos de su padre, en busca de información de un modelo de hombre perdido. Se convierte en maestro de escuela y una figura protectora para los niños, en un intento de proporcionarles algo de lo que él mismo carece. Una serie de acontecimientos le llevan a un sorprendente desenlace sobre el paradero de su padre y las verdaderas razones por las que se marchó... Adaptación de la novela "Un padre de película" de Antonio Skármeta.
