La desmemoria colectiva y la poca voluntad política desde el periodo de la Transición democrática ha dejado a miles y miles de víctimas y represaliados enterrados en cunetas y fosas comunes aún sin abrir. De las más de 2.000 fosas comunes, apenas han podido ser abiertas 200. El documental trata de desvelar los intereses políticos y las herencias franquistas que aún se perpetúan en España, 40 años después, para que todavía muchas víctimas no sean reconocidas como tales ni haya una voluntad por desenterrar toda la verdad de lo ocurrido durante esos años. Mientras la memoria no se desentierre y salga a la luz, miles de víctimas y familiares seguirán sin recibir la justicia que merecen.
