Sinopsis
Jerome Josserand is a professional snow kiter. In 2007 he set the world record for the highest kite flight. It was 450 m above the ground. Jerome is in love with wind and its power to use it to mount high mountains. His home is a place called Col du Lautaret which is also his playground. On his way he found Iceland. He noticed that there is snow and wind all the time. And he thought:” What if I would cross Iceland from southern to northern Iceland in just one day, with just power of wind?” And so he did. Crossing Iceland in such winter conditions was extremely tough and demanding. He needed to be in great physical and psychical preparation. There was wind exceeding 80km/h, there was equipment failure at -25C while shooting the movie, there was snow and freezing Icelandic nature everywhere. Even though Jerome prepared himself well for this journey, in the end everything depends of the power of wind… The question is – did he succeed? Did he make his wish come true?
Durante una expedición científica en Islandia, el visionario científico Trevor Anderson (Brendan Fraser), su sobrino Sean (Josh Hutcherson) y su hermosa guía regional, Hannah (Anita Briem), quedan atrapados en una cueva. La historia se basaba en un relato de James Thurber que giraba en torno al tímido empleado de una editorial que consigue evadirse de su gris existencia imaginando que es el héroe de grandes aventuras; un día, su sueño se hace realidad cuando conoce a una misteriosa mujer que le implica en una peligrosa misión.

El profesor Lidenbrock cuenta a su sobrino Glauben y a su prometida Axel el descubrimiento del manuscrito, y los tres deciden emprender el viaje siguiendo las indicaciones de Sakuusen. Comienzan entonces la aventura internándose en un volcán inactivo por el que descienden hacia el centro de la Tierra. En el viaje tendrán que solventar algunos problemas y sus vidas correrán peligro al enfrentarse a terremotos y tormentas subterráneas.

Zanskar is a remote kingdom in the northwest Indian Himalaya, where local people are snow-bound for six months of the year. About 10,000 Zanskaris live in the isolated valley. In winter, mountain passes are blocked, the summer Jeep road closes and buses stop. Two decades ago, three friends founded a ski school - to enable winter travel in the valley, improve quality of life, and to encourage young people to stay in Zanskar by helping establish a culture of mountain sports. The film tells the story of this friendship, the ski school and the development of skiing in the area. Along the way a bigger question is raised. Most recently, the federal government announced a major road building project that will provide year round access to Zanskar. How can Zanskar's wilderness be preserved? It is only a matter of time before the winter road is completed, and the "Big India" rushes in.
