Haruko
An anthology film consisting of three linked stories by different directors, all set on an Okinawan island. The first story, 'Aunt Reiko' concerns an opera singer who travels back to her home island to consult a spiritualist about the loss of her voice. The second story, 'Haruko & Hideyoshi' concerns an outsider to the island who is tricked into marrying an island girl after visiting the island god of fertility with her. The final story, 'Bomb Kids' concerns two kids in a punk band who set out to win (or steal) a large amount of money. Linking these stories is the ongoing search for an unexploded WWII bomb, a large model pineapple, and the possibility of a hotel development coming to the island...

After Iori refuses to participate any longer he is exiled, but vows to get her back no matter what it takes. 2 - When Sutezo is forced to serve the barbarous master of a brothel in order to repay his debts, he becomes friends with a young girl named Sato in process. Together, they both escape and try to get by on scams and petty theft.
Constable
Based on a manga by Kosuke Miki and Tadashi Matsumori, this film follows the adventures of Yuki, who works in a Kyoto red-light district house of ill repute as a "tamawari," or "virgin-breaker." She's the gal who gets first dibs on the new recruits to the brothel (some willing, some not), and it's her job to break them in for future clients. The film finds Yuki involved with a group of political rebels and anarchists after the Peace Preservation Law was passed in 1925 and walks a fine line between black humor and severe cruelty.

Tercer volumen de la saga "The Yakuza Papers" de Kinji Fukasaku, acerca del convulso mundo mafioso japonés en el Japón de la posguerra. En este capítulo, el jefe de la familia Muraoka decide retirarse por motivos de salud, lo que comportará una lucha de poder por el puesto vacante entre el jefe de la familia Yamamori y un subjefe de la familia Muraoka llamado Uchimoto. Shozo Hirono, protagonista de la saga, deberá calcular bien sus movimientos a la hora de alinearse con uno u otro.
Detective Sano
Segunda parte de la quintología de Fukasaku acerca de la ascensión mafiosa del yakuza Shozo Hirono (Bunta Sugawara) durante el convulso Japón de la posguerra. En este episodio, mientras Hirono establece su propia pequeña familia, el joven Shoji Yamanaka (Kinya Kitaoji), solitario y arruinado en Hiroshima, encuentra cobijo trabajando como matón para el jefe de la familia Muraoka. Male Patient A
Hirosuke, encerrado en un manicomio, no recuerda más que algunos retazos de su niñez, y tampoco recuerda las circunstancias por las que él, estudiante de medicina, se ha visto recluido en dicho centro. Después de que otro interno intente estrangularle, consigue escapar y, gracias a una chica que trabaja en un circo, deducir que su pueblo natal está en algún lugar de la costa del Mar del Japón. Sin embargo, la chica es asesinada y Hirosuke tomado por el asesino, por lo que debe huir nuevamente.
Oryu es acogido por un ex jefe yakyuza. Ella promete ocultar su fondo yakuza y el trabajo como una mujer normal. Mientras tanto, el rebelde trabajadores contra nueva ley tributaria, lo que obliga a los operadores a llevar en una familia yakuza para resolver el asunto.

The remake of Yoshikawa's novel continues with the second installment in which Takezo, soon to be Miyamoto Musashi, emerges from the Himeji Castle after three years of intense contemplation and philosophical study and starting on his epic quest to complete his skill in the Way.
A Ghost
In this first episode, we are introduced to Takezo, what Musashi used to be before he became the man of legend. His beginning are not exactly auspicious. He sides with the Toyotomi at Sekigahara, and as a result finds himself on the losing side of the historic battle. He and his friend Matahachi manage to escape the slaughter although the latter is wounded in his leg. They stumble across the young Akemi who makes her living with her mother Oko by robbing corpses of their armor and anything else they can sell. Oko takes it into her head to seduce Matahachi, which she does first by skillfully sucking the gangrene from his blood, and then just by sucking.
