シノプシス
The eccentric new manager of a UHF television channel tries to save the station from financial ruin with an odd array of programming.
A cargo aircraft crashes in a sandstorm in the Sahara with less than a dozen men on board. One of the passengers is an airplane designer who comes up with the idea of ripping off the undamaged wing and using it as the basis for a replacement aircraft they will build to escape before their food and water run out.
Timmy Robinson's best friend in the whole wide world is a six-foot tall rotting zombie named Fido. 「モンティ・パイソン」で知られる鬼才テリー・ギリアム監督が、ミュンヒハウゼン男爵の奇想天外な大冒険をつづった「ほらふき男爵の冒険」を映画化したファンタジー大作。 18世紀、トルコ軍占領下にあるドイツの海岸沿いの町。貧困と飢えに苦しむ人々であふれた崩れかけた城壁の中の廃墟と化した小さな町のロイヤル劇場の舞台に、バロン・ミュンヒハウゼンは突然姿を現わした。彼は、トルコ軍は自分を探していると語り、なぜトルコ軍に追われるはめになったかを話し始めるが、あまりにも荒唐無稽で誰にも相手にされない。
前作の主人公ビリーと恋人ケイトは二人そろってニューヨークで新生活を送っていた。大富豪クランプの所有するクランプ・センターがその働き口だったが、ビリーはそこで、チャイナタウン再開発のために発見されたモグワイと再会する。しかしまたしても偶然と失敗が折り重なってモグワイの体からグレムリンが発生、しかも今度はセンターの研究所で開発中のバイオ・テクノロジーと融合、新種のグレムリンが大量発生してしまうのだ。
コメディ界の帝王メル・ブルックスによるパロディ満載コメディ。『スター・ウォーズ』を筆頭に、SF界の傑作を盛りだくさんにパロディ化。“SW”本家同様ILMがSFXを担当、ニヤリとせずにはいられないシーンも結構スゴい。
人間の血が好物の吸血植物をめぐる大騒動をミュージカル風のコメディに仕上げた。もとはロジャー・コーマンの監督作だが、これは86年のリメイク作。出演はリック・モラニス、エレン・グリーンら。
Ray Tango and Gabriel Cash are narcotics detectives who, while both being extremely successful, can't stand each other.
