Just when you thought it was safe to sleep, Freddy Krueger returns in this sixth installment of the Nightmare on Elm Street films, as psychologist Maggie Burroughs, tormented by recurring nightmares, meets a patient with the same horrific dreams. Their quest for answers leads to a certain house on Elm Street -- where the nightmares become reality.

Jesse Walsh moves with his family into the home of the lone survivor from a series of attacks by dream-stalking monster Freddy Krueger. There, Jesse is bedeviled by nightmares and inexplicably violent impulses. It turns out Freddy is out to possess him in order to continue his reign of terror in the real world.

Once an architect, Frank Bannister now passes himself off as an exorcist of evil spirits. To bolster his facade, he claims his "special" gift is the result of a car accident that killed his wife. But what he does not count on is more people dying in the small town where he lives. As he tries to piece together the supernatural mystery of these killings, he falls in love with the wife of one of the victims and deals with a crazy FBI agent.

新居を手に入れたアダムとバーバラの夫婦は、自分たちが事故でもう死んでいることに気付かず、幽霊になったままその家に住み続け、しばらくしてその事実を知る。人間には空家に思えるその家に、オカルト好きの少女リディアら人間の一家が引っ越してくる。アダムたちは一家を脅して家から追い出そうとするが効果はない。アダムたちは呼ばないほうがいいといわれる人間退治が得意なゴースト、ビートルジュースを呼んでしまう。

In her many years as a social worker, Emily Jenkins believes she has seen it all, until she meets 10-year-old Lilith and the girl's cruel parents. Emily's worst fears are confirmed when the parents try to harm the child, and so Emily assumes custody of Lilith while she looks for a foster family. メカの天才スカッドを新たな相棒にしたブレイドは、ヴァンパイアのアジトを襲撃。とらわれた相棒ウィスラーを取り戻すがその矢先、今度は逆にブレイドの隠れ家が発見されてしまう。戦闘態勢を敷くブレイドたちだが、現われたヴァンパイア部隊は休戦を申し入れてきた。人間もヴァンパイアも根絶させたい新種族リーパーズに対抗するため、一時的に手を結ぼうという。ブレイドはウィスラーら仲間に反対されるが、提案を受け入れる。

Young couple Steve and Nell move into a once fashionable but now decaying apartment block in Hollywood, and soon realise that a number of young residents have met unusually violent deaths. Before long, Nell makes some disturbing discoveries about the building's manager and her fellow tenants.
