Ahmet Nurudin is a dervish and head of the Islamic monastery of the Mevlevi order in Sarajevo. He is a personification of morale and dogmatic belief, everything that Muslim religion of the Ottoman rule rests on. Throughout his life, the atmosphere of the city, the relations with the judge and the mechanism of government, the image of Ottoman Empire at the beginning of the nineteenth century is being revealed. Based on a highly praised novel by Meša Selimović.
アメリカ北東部からカナダへと大自然が広がる、アパラチア山脈。そこに山小屋を構え、一人暮らしをしている元アメリカ軍人のベンジャミン。そんな彼の前にセルビア人の元兵士コヴァチが現れ、一緒に狩りを楽しむことに。しかし、山へと足を踏み入れるや、コヴァチはベンジャミンに向けて矢を放つ。混乱しながらも、軍隊と山での生活で得た経験と技術を生かして応戦するベンジャミンだが、この人間狩りにはボスニア紛争で起きたある事件が深く関わっていた。
才人スパイク・リー監督が、自身も尊敬する、近代アメリカきっての偉大な思想家であり、キング牧師と並ぶ黒人解放運動のリーダー、マルコムＸの生涯を描いた伝記的作品。物語は、マルコムがチンピラだった頃から始まる。若くして窃盗罪で服役し、刑務所の中でイスラム教に改宗、出所ののち彼は、イライジャ・ムハマットの下でブラック・モスレムきっての白人を敵対視する煽動家となる。やがて組織に疑問を感じ、多人種共存の道を探ってメッカを巡礼、そしてあらゆる人種の真の友愛を悟って帰国。そしてアメリカ黒人の解放運動を今までになかった新しい理念によって大きく展開しようとした矢先の１９６５年２月２１日、ハーレムのオーデュボン・ボールルームでの講演中に１３発の銃弾を浴びて射殺されるまでの、壮絶な軌跡を克明に追う。原作は、マルコムＸが著わし「ＲＯＯＴＳ／ルーツ」のアレックス・ヘイリーがまとめた『マルコムＸ自伝』。Ｄ・ワシントンのパワフルな芝居とテンポの良い演出が、この長尺を一気に見せる。
舞台は、1992年に起きた旧ユーゴスラビアの民族紛争が一応解決し、和平が結ばれているボスニア。米海軍大尉クリス・バーネットは、平和を維持するための軍務に意味を見出せず、レイガート司令官と衝突する。そして、本来は休暇であるクリスマスに、レイガート司令官はボスニア上空からの撮影任務を命じる。相棒のスタックハウスと共に空母カール・ビンソンから発艦したF/A-18Fは、ボスニア上空を飛行中、飛行ルートを外れた地帯にレーダー反応を探知。そちらへ向かうと地上に兵器が映り、カメラでの録画に成功する。しかし突然、地対空ミサイル(SAM)による攻撃をうけて撃ち落とされる。

The story, set in 1885, follows a British officer (Heath Ledger) who resigns his post when he learns of his regiment's plan to ship out to the Sudan for the conflict with the Mahdi. His friends and fiancée send him four white feathers which symbolize cowardice. To redeem his honor he disguises himself as an Arab and secretly saves the lives of those who branded him a coward.
A middle-aged Tehranian man, Mr. Badii is intent on killing himself and seeks someone to bury him after his demise. Driving around the city, the seemingly well-to-do Badii meets with numerous people, including a Muslim student, asking them to take on the job, but initially he has little luck. Eventually, Badii finds a man who is up for the task because he needs the money, but his new associate soon tries to talk him out of committing suicide.
