米ボストンから不思議な世界へ飛ばされた青年ジェイソン。彼は、酔拳の達人ルー・ヤンに助けられたことをきっかけに、如意棒を孫悟空の元へ返す旅に出る。ファンタジー・アドベンチャー。

天界と魔界の争いにより天界が破壊され、天界を補修したときに落ちたかけらに命が宿り、下界の人間界で猿として誕生。猿は天界の須菩提祖師に孫悟空と名付けられ、術などを覚えていく。一方、天界の玉帝に敗れた魔界の牛魔王は、悟空のパワーを悪用し天界をつぶそうとたくらむ。

伝説のヒーロー・孫悟空が五行山に封じ込められて500年。町には妖怪がたびたび現れ、子供をさらっていた。ある日、お師匠さまのもとで修行中のリュウアーは、妖怪に襲われた女の子・おチビちゃんを助ける途中、たまたま迷い込んだ五行山で、偶然にも孫悟空を眠りから目覚めさせてしまう！ところが悟空の力は封印されたままで、本来のパワーを発揮できずにいた。やがて悟空、リュウアーそして猪八戒の3人は長安へ旅に出るのだが…。はたして悟空は、かつてのチカラを取り戻し、真のヒーローになることができるのか！？

暴れ者の孫悟空は五行山に幽閉されてから500年後、天竺を目指す三蔵法師に封印を解かれ、三蔵法師の護衛として旅に同行する。道中新たな仲間も加わった一行の前に、永遠に美しい自分を維持すべく三蔵法師の命を狙う妖怪・白骨夫人が立ちはだかる。白骨夫人はさまざまな謀略を駆使し、ついに三蔵法師を手中に収める。

三蔵法師、孫悟空、猪八戒、沙悟浄の4人組は遠く天竺を目指す長旅を続けていたが、お金が無くて食べる物にも困り、山中にあった屋敷に立ち寄って助けてもらうことに。そこで美女たちの歓待を受けて大喜びするが、実は美女たちは妖怪たちの仮の姿で、孫悟空が活躍して妖怪たちを倒すものの、自分が一行のリーダーだと考えていた三蔵法師は勝手に行動した悟空と対立するように。やがて一行は比丘国という栄えた国に到着する。

天竺を目指して西への旅を続ける三蔵法師とお供になった孫悟空、猪八戒、沙悟浄だが、ある川を船で進んでいた4人は巨大な魚に襲われる。4人は空にできた不思議な穴を通って異なる土地に飛ばされるが、そこは女性しか住んでいない“女人国”で、その女王と三蔵法師は互いに好意を抱く。やがて“女人国”のおきてで4人は処刑されそうになるが、女王の計らいで脱出に成功。しかし“女人国”から元の世界に戻る方法は分からず……。

新入生歓迎会に際し、のび太の提案によって「西遊記」の劇をやることになった。孫悟空役をやりたかったのび太であったが、孫悟空役は出木杉に取られてしまい、実際の役は「村人その1」。セリフも「助けてくんろー!」の一言のみという、提案者とは思えない扱いだった。 孫悟空の存在を信じるのび太は、「本物に似ている人が孫悟空になるべきだ」と主張し、タイムマシンで7世紀のシルクロードへ向かう。そこでのび太そっくりの本物の孫悟空を目撃するが、誰も目撃談を信じない。仲間たちを連れ、再び唐へやって来たのび太だったが既に孫悟空はいない。仕方なくドラえもんのひみつ道具「ヒーローマシン」でのび太自ら孫悟空に成りすましたものの、調子に乗って結局ばれてしまった。のび太は、「ドラえもんの道具を使い放題」という無茶な約束に従わざるを得なくなり、ジャイアンが高笑いしながらタイムマシンを操縦する中、のび太とドラえもんは喧嘩になってしまうのだった。 落胆して現代に帰ったところ、なんとのび太の家族も知人もみんな妖怪になっており、現代は妖怪の世界と化していた。原因は唐の時代でヒーローマシンを使った際、マシンから妖怪たちが飛び出し、現実世界を荒らして三蔵法師を殺し、人類を滅ぼして人間に成り代ったため。 パラレルワールドになってしまった歴史を元に戻すには、唐の時代へ戻って妖怪たちを一匹残らず倒すしかない。本物の三蔵法師一行には、じわじわと妖怪たちの手が忍び寄る。5人は妖怪退治のため、ヒーローマシンで悟空や猪八戒に変身し、再び唐の時代へ向かう。

A monkey king who learns the secrets of magic goes on a spree and causes no end of aggravation for the gods, who finally imprison him. In order to make up for all the trouble he's caused, he is sent on a mission to accompany a prince who is the son of the gods on a journey through a land filled with dangers, monsters, cannibals and demons.

天竺を目指して旅を続ける三蔵法師とお供の孫悟空たち。砂漠を進む一行は、やがて虎誠（フーチェン）の国に到着。そこで王女・玲美と出会った彼らは、本来緑に包まれていたこの国が強大な妖怪、金角大王と銀角大王によって砂漠に変えられ、玲美の両親である国王と王妃が呪いによって亀の姿に変えられてしまったことを知る。国と両親を救うため力を貸してほしいと懇願する玲美に、血気盛んな悟空は協力すると約束する。

Because of the drought around the world, Mountain Huaguo with a water source is harassed by powerful monsters around. To investigate the cause of the drought and also obtain a suitable weapon to fight the powerful monsters, Sun Wukong and his good friend Chikaoma Monkey participate in the Treasure Competition in the East Sea, but they get involved in an intrigue. With the Little Dragon Princess' help, Sun Wukong defeats the evil dragon Aoluan that wants to destroy the human world, gets the Ruyijingu Cudgel, and saves the human world.

The story was liberally adapted from a short sequence in the popular Chinese folk tale Journey to the West. Princess Iron Fan is a main character. Specifically, the film focused on the duel between the Monkey King and a vengeful princess, whose fan is desperately needed to quench the flames that surround a peasant village.

Indrajit, son of Ravan, initiates an attack on Rama (Mane) and Lakshmana (Kulkarni) in which they are captured by Mahi (Kelkar). They escape with the assistance of Rama's disciple, the monkey-god Hanuman (Manajirao). The narrative foregrounds Chandrasena (Tarkhad), wife of Mahi, who reveres Rama but disapproves of the bacchanalian orgies and the celebration of liquor that is the norm in his kingdom. She helps resolve the stalemate of the battle when Mahi (who can duplicate himself and his dead soldiers) proves invincible, by revealing the secret formula that will kill her husband. In addition to the usual flying figures and magic arrows mandatory for a Ramayana mythological, there is an effective scene of a gigantic Hanuman picking up a miniaturized human figure.
