Good Morning, Neighbor 2 (2014)

ロッキー山脈の麓に孤立する村ドッグヴィル。ある日この村の近く、ジョージタウンの方向から銃声が響いた。その直後、村人の青年トムは助けを請う美しい女性グレースと出会う。間もなく追っ手のギャングたちが現われるも、すでに彼女を隠し、その場を切り抜けるトム。彼は翌日、村人たちにグレースをかくまうことを提案した。そして、“2週間で彼女が村人全員に気に入られること”を条件に提案が受け入れられる。そうしてグレースは、トムの計画に従って肉体労働を始めることになるのだが…。

1890年代の米国南部。戦死したと思われていたジャックが6年ぶりに帰還し、妻や村人たちは動揺する。しかも、粗野だった彼は温和な性格に変わっていて……。謎めいたラヴ・ストーリー。

アメリカ北東部からカナダへと大自然が広がる、アパラチア山脈。そこに山小屋を構え、一人暮らしをしている元アメリカ軍人のベンジャミン。そんな彼の前にセルビア人の元兵士コヴァチが現れ、一緒に狩りを楽しむことに。しかし、山へと足を踏み入れるや、コヴァチはベンジャミンに向けて矢を放つ。混乱しながらも、軍隊と山での生活で得た経験と技術を生かして応戦するベンジャミンだが、この人間狩りにはボスニア紛争で起きたある事件が深く関わっていた。

舞台は、1992年に起きた旧ユーゴスラビアの民族紛争が一応解決し、和平が結ばれているボスニア。米海軍大尉クリス・バーネットは、平和を維持するための軍務に意味を見出せず、レイガート司令官と衝突する。そして、本来は休暇であるクリスマスに、レイガート司令官はボスニア上空からの撮影任務を命じる。相棒のスタックハウスと共に空母カール・ビンソンから発艦したF/A-18Fは、ボスニア上空を飛行中、飛行ルートを外れた地帯にレーダー反応を探知。そちらへ向かうと地上に兵器が映り、カメラでの録画に成功する。しかし突然、地対空ミサイル(SAM)による攻撃をうけて撃ち落とされる。

ボスニア紛争末期の1995年7月11日、ボスニア東部の町スレブレニツァがセルビア人勢力の侵攻によって陥落。避難場所を求める2万人の市民が、町の外れにある国連施設に殺到した。国連保護軍の通訳として働くアイダは、夫と二人の息子を強引に施設内に招き入れるが、町を支配したムラディッチ将軍率いるセルビア人勢力は、国連軍との合意を一方的に破り、避難民の“移送”とおぞましい処刑を開始する。愛する家族と同胞たちの命を守るため、アイダはあらゆる手を尽くそうと施設の内外を奔走するが――。

1993年6月。ボスニア紛争の最前線。霧で道に迷ったボスニア軍の兵士たちは、いつの間にか敵陣に入り込み、気づいたときにはセルビア軍の攻撃が始まっていた。唯一の生存者チキは、なんとか塹壕にたどり着き身を隠す。そこは、ボスニアとセルビアの中間地帯“ノー・マンズ・ランド”。偵察に来たセルビア新兵ニノと老兵士はボスニア兵の死体の下に地雷を仕掛けて引き上げようとする。その瞬間、隠れていたチキが二人を撃ち、老兵士は死に、ニノは怪我を負う。チキとニノの睨み合いが続く中、死んだと思われていたボスニア兵が意識を取り戻し……。

It’s 1941 and the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor has destroyed America’s morale. The US President Franklin D. Roosevelt then decides to risk it all by bombing Tokyo and raise more hope for his citizens. After completing its mission, a unit of the US Air Force is forced to make an emergency landing in China. Its commander Jack Turner (Emilie Hirsch) barely survives but gets rescued by Ying (Crystal Liu), a local widow who will stop at nothing to hide him from the Japanese occupant.

After World War II, Antonia and her daughter, Danielle, go back to their Dutch hometown, where Antonia's late mother has bestowed a small farm upon her. There, Antonia settles down and joins a tightly-knit but unusual community. Those around her include quirky friend Crooked Finger, would-be suitor Bas and, eventually for Antonia, a granddaughter and great-granddaughter who help create a strong family of empowered women.

“小森”は東北のとある村の中の小さな集落。いち子（橋本愛）は、一度街に出て男の人と暮らしてみたものの、自分の居所を見つけられずに、1人でここに戻ってきた。“言葉はあてにならないけど、わたしの体が感じたことなら信じられる”と、何事も自分でやってみないと気が済まない性格のいち子は、稲を育て、畑仕事をし、周りの野山で採った季節の食材を料理して食事を取る毎日を過ごしている。そんな静かなある日、彼女の元に1通の手紙が届く。それは、5年前の雪の日に突然失踪した母・福子（桐島かれん）からだった。甘酒とカボチャを使って作った3色ケーキ、子供の頃から大好きな出来立てアツアツの納豆もち、ふきのとうでつくるばっけ味噌……。母のレシピを料理しながら思う。“私は母さんにとって本当に家族だったろうか……。”今までの自分、そしてこれからの自分を思い、心が揺れ始める。親友キッコ（松岡茉優）との小さな口げんかでは、“私は、ちゃんと向き合えなくて、それで小森に帰ってきたんだな……”と落ち込む。さらに、小森のこれからを真剣に考えるユウ太（三浦貴大）からは、“いち子ちゃんは1人で一生懸命やっててすごいなと思うけど、本当は逃げてるんじゃないの”と指摘され、言葉を返せない。長かった冬も終わりに近づき、雪解けが進んできた。少しづつ畑の準備を進めてきたものの、いち子は春一番で植えるジャガイモを、今年は植えるかどうか迷っていた。来年の冬、ここにはいないかもしれないから……。自分の本当の居場所を探すいち子が、春の訪れと共に出した答えとは……。

都会に出たものの馴染めないでいたいち子（橋本愛）は、故郷である東北地方の小さな集落・小森に戻ってくる。山に囲まれた小森の周辺にはスーパーやコンビニはないため、畑で農作物を作ったり、野山で季節のものを採ってきたりして、自給自足に近い生活をしなければならない。山の恵みを使って、夏にはグミジャムや岩魚の塩焼き、秋はくるみごはんや栗の渋皮煮などを作るいち子。もちろん自然には厳しさもある。季節の移ろいを感じ、ふと立ち止まって自分自身と向き合いながら、いち子はおいしいものを食べて次の一歩を踏み出す勇気を得ていく。

Paul (Macfadyen), a prize-winning war journalist, returns to his remote New Zealand hometown due to the death of his father, battle-scarred and world-weary. Villaviciosa de al Lado is a peaceful town stuck in time, living exclusively of the fame of a 200 years-old spa. Therefore, city hall's debts threatens to close the spa and ruin all town. Hekule, the King of Kuvukiland, is given a gemstone by the dying Kunji Balanadin. The stone is cursed and causes Hekule to become possessed by the spirit of the mischievous Kunji. It is up Mr. Bones, the royal witch doctor to cure his King and get rid of this cursed stone by returning the gem to its home in an Indian fishing village.
