ハワイのオアフ島で天文学の研究をしながら、ツアーガイドとして生活費を稼ぐ大輔（山田孝之）は、カフェで働く瑠衣（長澤まさみ）と出会う。彼は明るく聡明な彼女と意気投合するが、その翌日に会うと大輔や前日のことを全く覚えていないことに驚く。瑠衣が事故の後遺症で、新しい記憶が一晩で消えてしまうのを知った大輔は彼女を口説き落とそうと奮起。毎日彼女にアプローチを仕掛けてはファーストキスまで持ち込む大輔だが、このままでは関係が進展しないと悟ってあることを試そうとする。
