朝鮮固有の文字・ハングルの創製に命をかけた世宗王の姿を、演技派ソン・ガンホ主演で描く史劇エンターテインメント。低い身分ながらいくつもの言語に詳しい僧侶と協力し、王は庶民のために文字作りを進めるが……。
