かつては泥棒だったが、子どもが生まれてからまっとうになり、妻と息子の3匹で平穏な穴暮らしをしてきた、キツネのMr．FOX。だが、窮屈な穴ぐら生活を疑問に感じ、心機一転とばかりに丘の上の大木の家に引っ越す。実は丘の反対側には悪名高い人間の農場主3人が住んでいた。農場を見て野性の本能に目覚めたMr．FOXと動物仲間たちは、思わず農場から家畜を盗みだすように。怒った農場主たちはキツネ狩りを始める。
