The marriage is meanwhile over and it is time to leave. And then Kartik comes out with his confession and makes a public apology to his friend and the family. His gesture is appreciated, the matter settled and the newly weds return to the city.
Thirupathi (Vadivelu), Ezhumalai (S. Ve. Shekher) and Venkatesa (Prabhu) are poor friends who tried to become rich. Nachiappan (Venniradai Moorthy), a bungalow watchman, has three daughters : Lalitha (Kovai Sarala), Padmini (Urvashi) and Ragini (Roja). When his owner left the bungalow on vacation, Nachiappan's daughters decide to live there. R. Parthiban plays a die hard fan of Rambha and a self-interest governed taxi driver whose name is never revealed throughout the movie. Meena plays Mahalakshimi, the daughter of a "zamindar" who has lost all his money due to financial troubles; his death leaves Mahalakshimi with a lot of debts (over two lakhs worth). Parthipan is the taxi driver that drives Meena's dead father's corpse back to her hometown. There, the people that Mahalakshimi is now indebted to by Anand Raj who torture Mahalakshimi with cruel words for being unable to pay the debt. Later Parthiban helps her out by giving his taxi in replace to Meena's debt to save her at the point of time.

After the studies, Pitchai and Raani fall in love with each other. Raani becomes a Sub-inspector of police while Pitchai becomes a district collector. Soon, they have to face the smuggler Rajarathnam and his son Murali. What transpires later forms the crux of the story.

The movie has pandiyaraajan and vivek. Pandiyaraajan as usual makes the audience laugh with his comedy scenes. Vivek has done a decent role but it is below par compared to his standards. As usual S.S.Chandran has done a meiocre performance in this movie.

At the wedding, Vijaya Ragunadhan beats Sitharaman's henchmen and gets married with Kalyani. Balu and Kaveri, Kalyani's half-sister, fall in love with each other. Soon, Balu clashes with Vijaya Ragunadhan.
