Waru (2006)

When Ken, the leader of the once-notorious biker gang of Tokyo, falls in love with a barmaid, he quickly loses his rebellious ideals. The rest of the gang feels betrayed, especially the reputedly troubled kid Jin who revolts against his former friend.

At a high school in Tokyo, several of the female students have been moon-lighting as prostitutes. A teacher catches onto this fact and goes about putting an end to it. Things go awry when he discovers he turns into a sex demon with tentacles whenever he gets aroused (huh?). He turns from savior to vilifier, poor prostitute school girls.

One day, Naoto receives a package. Inside he finds a book, ‘LIVE’. At the same time, he receives an image on mobile phone of his mother being kidnapped and a call from a mysterious man. “If you don’ t want us to inject the killer virus in your mother, find the hints hidden in the novel and head for the goal in the death race!” Naoto starts running to save his mother with the book in his hand.

향명(원표 분)은 정의로운 형사. 그의 아내 수화는 마약담당 경위로 둘의 결혼 생활은 이미 파경으로 치닫고 딸은 향명이 기르고 있다. 어느날, 수화는 마약조직을 수사하던 중 경찰 내부의 사람과 관련되었다는 것을 밝혀낸다. 그는 다름아닌 수화와 동거중인 이경위. 수화는 이 사실을 은폐하려 했지만 이를 눈치챈 이경위는 태국에서 청부 살인업자 아추를 매수, 잔인하게 수화를 죽여 증거를 없애 버린다. 아내의 살해사건을 조사하는 향명. 마침내 이경위와 관련 되었다는 것을 눈치채지만 위기에 직면한 이경위는 향명마저 죽이기로 결심하고 이와중에 향명의 어머니, 친한동료 등 주변인물들이 처참히 살해당하는 사건이 발생한다. 며칠 후, 향명은 이경위의 죄를 법정에서 밝히기 위해 위험에 빠진 아추를 구해준다. 이때 아추는 빚을 갚기 위해 살해 위기에 빠진 향명의 생명을 구해주게 되고 이로 인해 두사람은 함께 탈주를 벌이게 된다. 탈주도중 아추는 향명에게 사랑의 감정을 느끼게 되고 향명은 그녀의 과거를 알고는 용서해 준다. 한편, 향명의 딸마저 그들의 총에 잃게 되자 아추는 그들을 향한 복수를 감행한다. 이경위의 본거지에 잠입한 향명과 아추. 그들은 일당들과 피비린내 나는 일대 혈전을 벌인다. 이경위는 부하들이차례로 죽고 자신의 생명이 위태로워지자 거액으로 향명을 매수하려한다. 하지만 복수심에 불타는 향명은 이경위를 살해하고 홍콩을 탈출하지만.

Minoru Kawasaki directs this comedic psychological thriller that follows a large koala as he looks for help from several of his closest friends, which include a giant rabbit and frog. After suffering an emotional breakdown in a public place, a young man vows to quit the chaotic city life and never leave his apartment. He quickly discovers that in todays world all his needs can be easily met: sexual satisfaction via the internet, food by telephone delivery and entertainment by television.Four years later, his idyllic existence comes under attack when Daniella, a free spirited girl comes into his life while Grumps, the buildings real estate agent , informs him that the apartment is about to be sold.Both Grumps, an elderly holocaust survivor with a troubled past and Daniella a cheerful young woman with a disastrous love history, are the first people in a long while to care about our hero. Both think the only way out is OUT.However, our hero refuses to leave his kingdom and decides to fight till the bitter end.

The final Duplicity film does seem at resolve with the term. All previous visual manifestations have been extended to their limits, through four-roll superimpositions. Obvious costumes and masks. Drama as an ultimate bid for truth, and totemic recognition of human and animal life-on-earth dominate all the evasions a duplicity otherwise affords.

This film by Stan Brakhage investigates the process of memory and thought by melting a series of images and a field of color. The positive-negative flickering graphs a sort of shutter-window all over the matter of the vision. Jittery flocks of space are interweaving as pieces of language in a scant illumination, whereas the process of thought is sheared in fuzzy transience.
