스토킹으로 인해 피해를 받은 소여 발렌티니(클레어 포이)가 정신과 상담을 받다가 정신병원에 강제입원하게 되는데 그곳까지 스토커가 나타난다. 소여가 아무리 말을해도 병원 직원들은 그녀의 말을 들으려하지 않고, 병원에서는 보험금을 더 받아내기 위해 입원기간까지 연장하게 된다. 병원에 환자로 입원해서 취재를 하고 있던 네이트 호프만(제이 파로아)의 도움을 받지만 상황은 점점 안좋아지기 시작한다.
