시놉시스
인류학 교수인 콘래드 해밀턴은 태국의 정글에서 새로운 영장류로 보이는 생명체를 발견한다. 인간과 유인원 사이를 잇는 ‘잃어버린 고리’로 생각한 콘래드 교수 일행은 그 중 한 마리를 생포하게 되지만, 결국 일행은 처참하게 죽임을 당한다. 해밀턴 교수와 조수인 첸은 다시 본국으로 연락해, 인류학을 공부하는 학생들을 정글로 불러 모은다. 태국에 도착한 6명의 학생은 정글에서 괴생명체의 공격을 받게 되지만, 첸의 도움으로 위기에서 벗어나고 해밀턴 교수와 합류한다. 학생들은 뭔가 심상치 않은 일이 벌어지고 있음을 눈치채지만 괴생명체의 정체를 밝히는데 광기 어린 집착을 보이는 해밀턴 교수는 이 사실을 속이고, 이들을 이끌고 정글 깊숙한 곳으로 들어가는데...
