무장 강도가 넘쳐나고 마약 밀매가 성행한다. 은드랑게타 마피아가 세력을 넓히던 1980년대. 두려움을 모르는 반항아가 밀라노를 지배하는 어둠의 군주로 거듭난다.

Reconstruction tells about a certain night in 1982, reconstructed in 2020 by the people who lived it through together. The film combines dance, drama and documentary, but most of all is a story of a friendship of a boy and a girl, and how jolly situations can turn sour and how, even though close, friends do not share same experiences – and that can have an effect on their friendship.

1980년 초, 마약 공급권을 두고 이탈리아 마피아의 신구 패밀리 사이의 갈등이 고조되자 토마소 부세타는 조직생활을 청산하고 가족과 함께 브라질로 떠난다. 그러나 얼마 지나지 않아 그는 마피아의 신진세력인 콜레오네파가 자신의 동료들과 일가친척의 절반을 살해하고, 팔레르모에 두고 온 두 아들마저 실종됐다는 소식을 듣고 절망한다. 얼마 후, 토마소는 브라질 경찰에 마약 거래 혐의로 체포되고 이탈리아로 송환이 결정되자 이탈리아 사법기관에 마피아의 모든 것을 폭로하려는 위험한 결정을 하기에 이르는데.

대학교 2학년에 접어드는 사만다는 기숙사에서 벗어나 교외의 아파트로 이사가려 하지만, 집세를 마련하기에 돈이 턱없이 부족하다. 일자리를 구하던 사만다는 보모(baby-sitter) 일을 하기로 결심하고, 교내 구인 게시판을 통해 보모를 구하는 집으로 연락한다. 광고를 낸 남자는 사만다와 통화를 한 즉시 학생회관 근처에서 만나기로 하지만, 왠일인지 약속에 나타나지 않고 사만다는 낙담하고 만다. 하지만 뜻밖에도 그날 저녁, 광고를 낸 남성은 다시 사만다에게 연락하여 정중히 사과하며 오늘 밤에라도 일을 하지 않겠냐고 제안한다. 그리하여 사만다는 친구 메건과 함께 교외에 있는 남성의 집으로 가게된다. 남성의 이름은 빈센트 울만. 그러나 빈센트는 어이없게도 아이를 보는 일이 아닌, 자신의 장모를 돌보는 일이었다고 고백한다. 사만다는 실망하여 집을 나서려 하지만, 빈센트는 보통의 보모 일보다 몇 배에 해당하는 급여를 제안하며 일을 간곡히 부탁한다. 결국 사만다는 집세를 해결하기 위해 일을 기꺼이 받아들이고 만다. 영화는 줄리오 안드레오티의 삶을 연대기 순으로 그리거나 각 사건들을 친절하게 설명하지 않는다. 대신 주요 사건들을 간략하게 묘사하고 안드레오티의 모호한 행동들을 더 자세하게 보여주며 그의 복잡한 내면을 포착하려 한다. 영화의 시작과 함께 1978년 좌파혁명단체인 붉은 여단이 이탈리아의 전 총리 알도 모로를 납치해 몸값을 요구했다가 당시 총리였던 줄리오 안드레오티가 이를 거부하자 알도 모로를 살해했다는 정보가 자막으로 등장한다. 그리고 영화는 다음 장면에서 구체적인 맥락을 알려주지 않은 채 암살로 사망하는 사람들을 연속적으로 보여주며 안드레오티의 정치 인생이 피로 얼룩져 있음을 보여준다. 줄리오 안드레오티는 총리와 장관을 여러 번 거친 거물 정치인이다. 그는 정치적 동료들과 함께 작은 방에 모여 앉아 항상 누가 누구의 편인지 대화를 나누며 자신의 정치 권력을 공고히 한다. 그 와중에 안드레오티의 심기를 거스른 것으로 보이는 사람들은 계속해서 암살을 당한다. 한편 검찰은 안드레오티와 마피아의 연관을 본격적으로 조사하기 시작한다. 즉 안드레오티가 정치적 반대편을 제거하기 위해 마피아와 손을 잡고 암살을 사주해왔다는 것이다. 결국 각각 다른 혐의로 재판들이 열리지만 그는 모든 혐의를 부인하고 증거 부족으로 재판들은 하나둘씩 기각된다.

교통수단은 자전거, 일터는 도서관, 고질병은 무대울렁증. 무대 경험은 방구석 1열뿐인 12년 차 메탈바라기 시골 밴드. 어느 날, 대규모 메탈 축제 담당자가 우연히 동네에 찾아오고 용기를 내 데모 테이프를 전달한다. 단 한번도 계획대로 된 적은 없지만 지금이 아니면 안 된다고 생각한 그들, 축제가 열리는 노르웨이로 무작정 찾아가기로 하는데…
