Remember Vukovar (2008)

과거 영국이 인도를 식민지배하던 시절에 인도독립운동을 하던 청년들을 감옥에 가두고 탄압하던 군인인, 자신의 할아버지 일기장을 가지고 시나리오를 쓴 슈 멕켄리가 인도에 와서 수키와 친구들을 캐스팅하며 영화를 만들게 된다. 그녀는 영화를 만들면서 그들에게 과거 인도독립운동가들의 모습을 기대하나 생각만큼이 아닌 모습들에 실망하게 되고, 한편 수키의 친구들 중, 아버지의 유지를 이어받아 군조종사가 된 아제이는 전투기 조종 중 일어난 비행기 추락으로 죽게된다. 그러나 자신들의 이익에 눈이 먼 군관계자와 정부측에서 비행기 추락을 비행기 자체의 결함이 아닌 아제이의 조종미숙으로 돌리는 모습을 보고 분노한 수키와 친구들은 정의를 위한 싸움을 시작한다.

왕년에 군인이었지만 퇴역한 자이는 매우 정의를 중요시해서 주변인이들이나 마을에 닥친 부정의로운 사건을 해결한다. 어느날 정치인의 딸로인해 교통을 통제하는 바람에 두 팔이 없어 시험을 보지 못한 소녀가 자살하는 사건이 발생. 자이는 헬프 체인(도움을 받았으면 3명의 다른 사람을 도와 더 좋은 사회를 만들자는 캠페인)을 벌이지만 회의를 느끼게 되고, 이후 정치인과 계속 부딪히며 싸우게된다는 이야기.

1947년 영국으로부터의 독립 과정에서 인도와 파키스탄으로 분할 되는 시대의 폭력을 다룬다. 영화는 파시교도 소녀 레니와 힌두교도인 보모 샨타의 관계를 중심으로, 오랜 세기 동안 함께 섞여 살아왔던 사람들이 반목 하게 되는 과정을 그린다.

Stolen Kosovo is a Czech language documentary by director Václav Dvořák (b. 1948), about the Serbian–Albanian conflict in Kosovo. The documentary describes the situation, first in a short overview of the history of the area, followed by the 1990s conflicts and bombing of Serbia by NATO forces in 1999 and ending with the situation after the Kosovo War. The documentary focuses on the 1990s in the time of Slobodan Milošević's rule as well as on numerous interviews of Serbian civilians and, less, of Albanian insurgents against the Milošević regime.

The people are settled at a railway station in a village near Vukovar, where they live in a train which is adapted to serve as a temporary accommodation.The situation grows dim as the date of their return proves to be uncertain, and the lives of the survivors and refugees becomes more and more complicated being burdened by PTSP and strong feelings of hope to return to their homestead.
