도시의 전설에 대한 논문을 쓰고 있는 헬렌 라일(Helen Lyle: 버지니아 매드슨 분)과 친구 버나데트(Bernadette Walsh: 캐시 레몬스 분)는 캔디맨(Candyman: 토니 토드 분)이라는 카브리니그린의 전설 속의 인물에 대해 알게 된다. 거울에 비친 자신의 얼굴을 보며 캔디맨을 다섯번 말하면 잘린 오른손에 후크를 한 거구의 흑인이 나타나 후크로 몸을 찢어 죽여버린다는 것. 헬렌은 조사에 나선다. 소년이 살해된 공중 화장실에서 캔디맨 행세를 하는 갱단에게 폭행을 당하고, 그 범인을 잡지만, 캔디맨에 대한 의심은 남아 있다. 드디어 캔디맨은 헬렌 앞에 나타나고, 의식을 잃었던 헬렌이 깨어난 곳은 카브리니그린 지역의 피살된 여인의 옆집에 사는 앤의 화장실. 헬렌은 자기 손에 있는 식칼과 잘려진 개머리, 사라진 아기로 인해 구속당한다. 하지만 사라진 아기가 발견되지 않아 헬렌은 석방되고, 아파트에 와서 필림을 보다가, 거울 속에 비친 모습을 찍은 필림 뒤에는 캔디맨이 있는 것을 발견한다. 그리고 자기집에서 또다시 캔디맨을 만난다. 헬렌은 캔디맨에게 공격당하고 버나데트를 살해한 범인으로 몰려 정신병원에 갇힌다. 병원에서 의사와 상담하던 중 자신의 결백을 증명하기위해 거울을 보며 캔디맨을 다섯 번 부르자 다시 캔디맨이 나타나 의사를 살해한다.

맨체스터에서 도망쳐 런던에 온 쟈니는 옛 여자친구 루이즈를 방문한다. 도착하던 날 루이즈의 룸메이트 소피와 잠자리를 한 후 쟈니는 런던 거리를 헤매고 다니며 서로 으르렁거리며 입이 험한 아치와 메게, 철학적인 경비원, 쟈니를 집으로 초대했다가 갑자기 내쫓아 버리는 식당 여 종업원 등 현대의 인간들을 만나지만 결국 런던 거리에서 잔뜩 부상을 당한 채 루이즈와 소피의 집으로 돌아온다. 그러나 그곳은 여피족인 집주인 제레미가 소피를 성적인 노예로 취급하고 있고, 룸메이트 중의 하나인 산드라가 아프리카 여행에서 돌아와 집안 꼴을 보고는 히스테리에 빠지는 등 모든 것이 엉망인 상태다. 한편 돌아온 쟈니를 본 루이즈는 고향에 대한 향수를 느끼고 같이 돌아가자고 제안하지만 쟈니는 안심하고 있는 루이즈와 그를 사랑하게 된 소히를 남기고 어디론가 떠난다.-제46회 깐느영화제(1993) 남우주연상 : 데이빗 듈리스 -제46회 깐느영화제(1993) 심사위원상 : 마이크 리

Man and woman as natural order or structures created by man? Meat consumption as natural predator behavior or factory farming? Nature-related living and urban planning? The topic covers all questions of human life. In this short film, this question should be discussed abstractly. Not by specific subject-relatedness, but by the juxtaposition of subjective ideas about the abstract nature of nature from the perspective of a Western white man.

In the turbulence of Auckland, Ska (Hunter) is a streetwise 19 year old, whose father is a drunkard and whose older sister works at a high-class massage parlour. When he decide to “rescue” her, he is thrown out. With some friends, he take revenge by trashing the place, but the reply results in Ska's best friend being killed. The massage parlour boss is also a crooked concert promoter, so Ska, and his gang, “hijack” a concert which incites the audience to riot.
