Poetry by Rudyard Kipling, John Milton, and William Blake, and excerpts from speeches by Abraham Lincoln and Winston Churchill, all read by Laurence Olivier, illuminate documentary footage of England during its defense against the Nazi blitz in World War II. This short film serves as both propaganda and as a rallying cry to the British people.

After a massive luxury liner sinks into the ocean, the ship's officer must command a rickety lifeboat, built for only nine, that is stuffed with over twenty desperate and injured passengers. As a hurricane approaches and the many wounded passengers struggle for life, difficult decisions must be made about who will remain on the boat and who must be cast to the sea in order to give others the chance to survive.

First the atomic war broke out, new machines were made, dead birds appeared. In 1999, a bacteriological warfare began, there were sandstorms and giant locust infestations; the human tissue was transformed and a new being, once legendary, now real, emerged: the vampire. Only Robert Neville, the last man on Earth, remains unpolluted, living in constant struggle with the new inhabitants of the planet.

리처드 애덤스가 쓴 동명의 소설을 영화화한 애니메이션이다. 작가는 이 소설을 자신의 딸들과 함께 읽기 위해서 썼다고 하지만 소설이 담고 있는 내용은 단지 어린 아이들이 읽고 이해하기에는 조금 난해하고 어둡다. 소설은 토끼라는 동물을 등장시켜 자유의 소중함을 일깨우는 일종의 우화다. 영화 역시 소설이 담고 있는 내용을 충실하게 스크린으로 옮겼다.

'사무엘 풀러의 삶'은 B급 영화의 제왕으로, 누벨바그리언들이 숭배한 ‘작가’로 시대를 풍미했던 감독 사무엘 풀러에 관한 다큐멘터리이다. 70회 베니스영화제에서 상영된 이 영화는 풀러의 딸인 사만다 풀러가 연출했다. 사만다는 풀러가 쓴 자서전 '세 번째 얼굴'을 기초로 하여 비 관습적인 예술가이자 모험적인 인간이었던 아버지의 이야기를 총 12개의 단락으로 구성하였다. 각 단락마다 제임스 프랑코와 제니퍼 빌즈, 빌 듀크, 팀 로스, 빔 벤더스, 제임스 토백, 몬티 헬만, 조 단테 등 그를 추앙하는 영화인들이 자서전에서 발췌한 글을 읽는 내레이터 역할을 한다. 영화는 저널리스트이자 작가, 사진가로서 전쟁과 범죄, 정신병, 폭력, 인종주의를 경험한 풀러의 파란만장한 이력이 할리우드 시스템과 충돌하면서 빚어낸 결과들, 이를테면'충격의 복도'와 '빅 레드 원' 같은 영화에 대한 의미심장한 암시를 제공한다. 한 번도 공개되지 않은 풀러의 16미리 필름과 2차 세계대전 기간 동안 촬영한 미공개 다큐멘터리 필름도 수록되어 있다.
