Selfie (2019)

Escaping from his criminal baptism, Reynaldo Galíndez, called el Rey, breaks into the patio of the house where Carlos Vargas, a retired security guard, lives. Carlos proposes Reynaldo a deal: he will repair the damage caused and, in return, Carlos will not call the police.

Ten-year-old Nojoom was forced to marry a 30-year-old man. The dowry offered the family a small income and 'one less mouth to feed'. Nojoom discovers that her life will take a turn for the worse. Her husband is indifferent to her age. Every day after she is wedded, the child works under harsh conditions and every night, the child-bride is raped by a man 20 years older than her. A legitimate and acceptable arrangement for all, except for Nojoom.

An immigration agent is torn between the job and his humanity.

A 12-year-old boy and his single mother live separate lives. The boy spends his days alone while his mother works and goes out with her friends. The boy’s solitude is both a source of freedom and a cause for grief. His explorations slowly bring to light the dark contrast between the rules of society and the laws of nature. And before long, the delicate balance of his inner world becomes shattered by unforeseen events.

선량한 양치기 토마소의 마지막 소원을 들어주기 위해 어리석은 하인 풀치넬라가 베수비오 산에서 캄파니아로 파견된다. 그의 임무는 사르키아포네라는 어린 물소를 구하는 것. '불의 땅' 중심부, 토마소가 돌봐온 버려진 부르봉 양식의 저택에서 풀치넬라는 물소를 발견해 북쪽으로 향한다. 둘은 아름다운 이탈리아를 가로질러 긴 여정을 떠나고 그 끝에서 예상치 못했던 것을 찾게 된다.

Sara is a young girl raised in a family of goat farmers. Her parents homeschool their twelve children, rigorously following the precepts of the Bible. Like her sisters, Sara is taught to be a devout woman, subservient to men while keeping her emotional and physical purity intact until marriage. When Sara meets Colby, a young amateur bull rider, she is thrown into crisis, questioning the only way of life she has ever known.

다섯 자매의 이야기다. 어린 시절 물놀이를 간 자매들은 자신들의 삶을 뒤흔드는 비극적인 사건과 마주하는데, 영화의 시간은 그로부터 몇 십년 뒤 이들이 중년이 되는 시기로 갑작스레 이동한다. 그날 이후 응어리진 마음과 오해로 인해 서로를 오랫동안 원망하던 이들은 자매들이 모두 노년이 된 어느 날, 누군가의 부고 소식을 듣고 한 자리에 모인다.
