피자집에서 일하는 데이지(줄리아 로버츠 분)와 캣(안나베스 기쉬 분) 자매는 가난하지만 열심히 살아가는 꿈 많은 20대 초반의 아가씨들. 동생 캣은 대학에 갈 등록금을 모으기 위해 피자집 외에도 보모로 일하지만 데이지는 타고난 야성적 성격으로 멋부리고 남자 사귀는 데에만 관심이 있어 어머니를 걱정시킨다. 이 둘의 친구인 조조(릴리 테일러 분)는 한번 결혼하려다 식장에서 기절해 결혼을 취소한 경력을 갖고 있어 늘 고민하지만 예민하고 다정다감한 성격이다. 세 사람 모두 각각 다른 사랑의 경험을 하게 된다. 데이지는 부자집 귀공자 찰리(아담 스토크 분)와, 캣은 보모로 일하는 집주인 남자인 지성인 팀(윌리암 R. 모지스 분)과, 조조는 순박한 고기잡이 어부 빌(빈센트 필립 도노프리오 분)과. 그러나 데이지는 찰리의 집에 초대받았다가 부모와의 갈등으로 망난이 행동을 하는 찰리에게서, 캣은 홀아비인 줄 알았던 팀에게 아내가 돌아오자 좌절한다. 조조는 두 친구를 통해 빌과의 사랑이 진실임을 깨닫고 결혼을 한다. 캣은 가을학기에 대학에 입학할 생각에 다시 마음을 가다듬고, 데이지도 찰리와의 사랑도 되찾는다. 그리고 미스틱 피자의 맛이 텔레비젼을 통해 전국에 알려져 유명해 진다.

스페인 연안의 포구 마을. 미국인 남녀 네명이 요트 놀이를 즐기고 있다. 평화롭던 뱃놀이는 갑작스레 밀어닥친 폭풍우로 난장판이 되고, 두 명의 남녀는 포구로 탈출한다. 하지만 도움을 받으러 간 그곳은 기이한 외모와 분위기의 마을 사람들이 지나다니고 있고, 그들은 남자와 여자를 공격한다. 이국적인 풍경과 로케이션, 그리고 바다의 전설과 그 안에 도사리고 있는 무시무시한 전설의 실체까지. 브라이언 유즈나와 스튜어트 고든은 함께 스페인으로 간 뒤, 유럽의 전설과 그로테스크한 분위기를 재현하는데 계속 심혈을 기울이고 있다. 부천의 상영작이었던 브라이언 유즈나의 와 더불어 이 작품도 그런 맥락에 있는 영화다. 결말 부분은 통속적인 공포영화의 마지막을 뒤집어 놓고 있다. 유명한 공포소설가 H.P. 러브크래프트의 소설이 원작이다.

실업자 요스케(야쿠쇼 코지)는 거리에서 만난 걸식 노인 타로(키타무라 카주오)에게서 교토 지방의 빨간 다리 옆의 집에 자신이 훔친 금불상을 숨겨놓았다는 말을 듣는다. 노인이 급사한 후 코지는 금불이 숨겨진 교토로 간다. 거기서 코지는 그 집에 사는 여인 사에코(시미주 미사)을 만나는데 그녀는 몸에서 따뜻한 물이 나오는 이상한 질병을 앓고 있다. 요스케는 몸에 물이 차면 도벽을 일삼는 사에코의 욕구를 섹스로 풀어준다. 어부로 취직한 요스케는 과거에 사에코에게 남자가 있었다는 사실을 알게 되고 질투에 휩싸인다.

유태인들에게서 전설로 전해져 내려오는 살아있는 인형 '골렘'을 소재로 한 영화로, 동일한 영화 중에서도 가장 뛰어난 수작으로 손꼽힌다. 각본과 감독, 주연을 한 파울 베게너는 1914년에 만들어진 에서도 주연을 맡은 바 있다. 영화 속 유대인 마을은 놀랍게도 스튜디오에 지어진 거대한 세트이다. 16세기 프라하. 한 유대인 랍비가 유대인들의 처형을 막아주기 위한 수호신으로 거대한 진흙 생명체인 골렘을 만들어 그 속에 생명을 불어넣으려 한다. 그러나 사악한 랍비의 조수는 골렘을 자신의 야욕을 채우기 위한 범죄에 이용할 생각에 골렘을 조종하고 마침내는 랍비의 아름다운 딸까지 납치하도록 시킨다. 그러나 랍비에게서 인간의 감정을 선사 받은 골렘은 결국에는 자신을 악용하는 조수의 사악함에 반기를 들게 된다. 독일 표현주의 무성 환타지 영화의 걸작.

L. Frank Baum would appear in a white suit and present his live actors, slide shows and films as a live travelogue presentation of his popular fantasies. Highlights include Dorothy being swept to Oz in various ways, such as with back-projection tornadoes and storms in a chicken coop. Lack of financial backing forced the show to fold after appearing in only two cities, despite being a critical and commercial success.

The Talbots, formerly one of the Eastern Shore's first families, have gone to seed: Pap is a drunk, soddenly decaying in his ruined ancestral home, and three of his sons (William, Carol, and Ezra) are lazy, shiftless young men. Mulligan, Pap's second son who supports the entire family by oyster fishing, falls in love with wealthy Anna Lee, but when he first kisses her, she calls him "white trash."

Eventually, Alam Ara's nomad friends invade the palace, expose Dilbahar's schemes, release Adil from the dungeon and she marries the prince of the realm.

When a rare species of butterfly is found in a mysterious valley in Japan, a pair of entomologists go to investigate and find more. They discover Varan, a giant monster, Who decided to leave the valley and head straight for Tokyo.
