세기의 앙숙인 톰과 제리. 여느 날처럼 쫓고 쫓기는 사냥 놀이를 하던 톰과 제리는 우연히 화성 로켓 발사를 앞둔 국제 우주 센터에 들어가게 된다. 사냥 놀이에 몰두한 톰과 제리는 로켓이 발사되는 것도 모른 채 로켓에 탑승, 우주 비행사들과 함께 화성으로 향한다. 화성에 도착한 우주 비행사들은 제대로 둘러보지도 않은 채 화성에 생명체가 없다는 성급한 판단을 내린 후 지구로 귀환하고, 사냥 놀이에 빠져있던 톰과 제리는 지구로 귀환하는 로켓을 놓쳐 결국 화성에 남게 된다. 제리를 본 화성인들은 고서에 나와있는 위대한 예언자 글룹과 닮았다며 궁전으로 데려가 극빈 대접을 하고, 뒤이어 궁전에 도착한 톰은 몸집이 제리와 비슷한 화성인들에 의해 거인으로 오해를 받으며 뜻하지 않게 화성 도시를 파괴하게 된다. 결국 화성인들에게 사로잡힌 톰은 처형당할 위기에 처하는데 그 순간 한 화성인이 달려와 제리는 위대한 글룹이 아니며 톰과 제리 모두 지구에서 보낸 첩자라는 의견을 피력한다. 첩자로 몰린 톰과 제리는 화성인 핍의 도움으로 겨우 달아나지만, 화가 난 화성나라 국왕은 지구를 공격하기로 결정한다.

크노크라는 괴상한 노인의 부동산 중개소 직원인 후터는 비스보르크라는 한 소도시에 그의 부인 엘렌과 살고 있었다. 어느날 크노크는 비스보르크에 집을 한 채 사겠다는 오를록 백작의 편지를 받고 후터를 백작의 성으로 급히 보낸다. 후터는 자신이 오랫동안 집을 비우는 것을 슬퍼하는 부인을 친구인 하딩의 집에 머무르게 하고 백작의 성을 향해 떠난다. 길을 가다 어느 덧 해가 저물어 한 여관에 머무르게 된 후터는 우연히 조그마한 책자를 발견한다. 책에는 흡혈귀에 대한 섬뜩한 이야기가 씌여 있다. 이 영화의 사이 사이에는 훗날 비스보르크에서 일어날 일을 예언이라도 하는 듯한 내용이 삽입되어 있다. 다음날 다시 백작의 성을 향해 길을 가던 도중 고갯길에 다다르자 공포감을 느낀 짐꾼들은 더 이상 가기를 거부하고 후터는 할 수 없이 혼자서 길을 떠난다. 그런데 이때 어디선가 기괴한 인상의 마부가 홀연히 나타나 후터를 목적지인 오를록 백작의 성까지 눈깜짝할 사이에 데려다 준다. 성에 도착한 후, 어딘지 섬뜩한 느낌을 주는 오를록 백작을 만나 후터는 식사대접을 받고 하룻밤을 지낸다. 다음날 목에 무언가 물린 자국이 난 것을 발견하지만 후터는 모기에게 물린 것으로 간주해 버린다. 다시 오를록 백작과 만나 집에 대한 매매 이야기를 하는 도중 우연히 백작은 후터의 부인 엘렌의 사진을 보게된다. "당신 부인의 목이 참 아름답군요"라면서 백작은 의미심장한 표정으로 후터의 바로 맞은편에 있는 집을 사겠다고 한다. 이날밤 후터는 자신의 방으로 침투해 들어오려는 혼령을 만나게 되고 혼비백산하여 지하실로 내려가게 되는데, 지하실에 놓인 관속에서 죽은 시체와 같이 누워있는 오를록 백작이 눈을 뜨고 후터를 향해 일어선다. 완전히 공포에 사로잡힌 후터는 자신이 성에 갇힌 사실을 인식하고 어떻게든 성을 빠져 나갈 궁리를 한다.

Karin Daughter of Ingmar is a 1920 Swedish silent drama film directed by Victor Sjöström. It is the second part in Sjöström's large-scale adaption of Selma Lagerlöf's novel Jerusalem, following Sons of Ingmar from the year before, and depicting chapter three and four from the novel. The critical reception was however unenthusiastic and Sjöström decided to not direct any more parts.

The film starts with images of trains, buses, and railway tracks, which are juxtaposed to shots of deserted Paris streets, empty factories, and typewriters packed in slipcovers. It is a natural landscape organized by industrial infrastructure and populated by the urban crowds who are swimming, rowing, canoeing, sailing, fishing, or biking.

The film relates the painful ending of a love story binding an over-30-year-old woman and a North African, and the beginning and end of a relationship she also has with an “established” journalist. The stories illustrate the absolute claim of a woman who can understand love only in terms of life and death, an attitude that generally makes love appear dramatic, but at least burning and flickering, like the flame that glows in her heart.

The Duke and Steve fight again, and everyone rushes out of the cave. Mr. Rockface notices his pot of food is empty; earlier, Wild Willie the Missing Link had eaten it. Mr. Rockface tells the three suitors they will have to procure their own dinner. Steve locates a desert quail and shoots an arrow at it, but the arrow misses the quail and happily (for Steve) hits The Duke's behind. Meanwhile, Wild Willie is still hungry and goes hunting for snakes. He finds a dinosaur's tail instead...

Stalks move food close to the mouth and move waste away. We see vents, used in reproduction and breathing. We watch the hatched young expelled into the water. The camera shows us brittle stars' intricate patters. We observe feather stars in clusters, like ferns. One turns over slowly; arms have branches with stalks for breathing and gathering microscopic food. Reproductive organs are inside branches. We see eggs develop at 1,400 nature's speed. Larvae emerge, 0.1 mm long. They grow. A feather star takes a walk.

Grierson set out to make "propaganda," and this film--with it's voice-over proclaiming the great value of the British industrial worker, without a hint of ambiguity or doubt--fits that category well. The authoritatarian narrator feels out-of-date and unsophisticated, but the footage is well shot and interesting, and the transparency of the propaganda aspect is almost a reflief at a time when so many films have hidden agendas.
