With this film I wanted to experiment with intercutting, superimposition and color. Similar to my previous short film "Vilja til å handle forhasta", I chose some footage from a recent trip as a basis. I created two different scenes using superimposition that the film intercuts between slowly increasing in speed before culminating into a harmonious relationship of color. Accompanying the visuals is a beautiful piece of classical music pitched up and down respectively for each shot before returning to it's full glory in the culmination sequence. As in my previous work, I once again returned to the idea of intermissions in short films again with allusions to other films. The final shot or act of the short film was conceived in the same spirit as the first act as it pictures one of my favorite spots during my trip.

영화 배우인 엄마 레니(Renee Hallow: 다란느 프러겔 분)가 촬영 현장에서 감전사하는 불의의 사고를 당한 후 열세살 소년 제프(Jeff Matthews: 에드워드 펄롱 분)와 그의 아버지(Chase Matthews: 안소니 에드워즈 분)는 LA에서의 생활을 청산하고 낙향, 그곳에서 새로운 삶의 둥지를 튼다. 그러나 도시에서 나고 자란 제프는 시골 생활에 쉽게 적응하지 못하고, 학교 친구들과도 잘 어울리지 못한다. 그러던 그가 드루(Drew Gilbert: 제이슨 맥과이어 분)라는 친구를 사귀게 되는데, 그의 얼굴엔 늘 수심이 드리워져 있다. 마을의 보안관인 드루의 계부(Gus Gilbert: 클랜시 브라운 분)가 습관적으로 그에게 폭력을 휘드르며 학대를 일삼는 탓이다. 그러던 어느날 드루의 양아버지가 술김에 그만 그 개를 총살하는 사건이 벌어지고 드루는 실의에 빠진다. 실의에 빠져 있는 드루를 위로하던 제프는 죽은 동물을 묻으면 다시 살아난다는 전설이 내려오는 묘지(Pet Sematary) 얘기를 떠올리곤 그를 그 묘지로 인도한다. 그저 개가 되살아나기만을 기도하는 두 아이, 그러나 돌아온 것을 개의 혼령을 빌려 되살아난 무덤 속의 저주였는데.

한적한 시골마을로 아내와 함께 이사한 ‘헥터’는 아내가 저녁 준비를 위해 장을 보러 간 사이 주변 경치를 망원경으로 둘러 보던 중 우연히 숲 속에서 옷을 벗고 있는 수상한 여자를 발견하고 호기심에 그녀에게 조금씩 다가간다. 숲 한가운데 나체로 누워있는 여자를 발견한 순간 갑작스레 나타난 괴한이 흉기를 휘둘러 ‘헥터’는 팔에 상처를 입고 도망치게 된다. 정신 없이 도망쳐 도착한 곳은 숲 근처의 한 연구소. 그 곳에서 만난 연구원은 괴한으로부터 숨겨주겠다면서 특이한 외관의 기계에 들어가라고 한다. 기계에 몸을 숨겨 괴한을 따돌린 ‘헥터’는 기계에서 나와 한 숨을 돌리고 연구소 창 밖을 바라보는데 그 곳에는 자신의 집 앞에서 망원경으로 숲 속을 보고 있는 자신의 모습을 발견하고 경악하게 되는데...

에덴은 에릭과 연인 사이인데, 어느 날 대학 진학 문제로 인해 서로 거리감을 갖게 된다. 그리고 에릭은 마을에서 따돌림을 받는 레이를 만나게 되지만 그전에 주차해 놓은 에릭의 차로 인해 교통사고가 발생해서 그만 레이와 지나가던 할머니가 죽게 된다. 그러나 레이는 부두교인의 주술로 인해 '베놈'으로 소생해서 무차별 살육을 시작하게 된다.

짐 윌리암스라는 거부가 주최하는 크리스마스 파티를 취재하러 간 작가 존은 그 마을 사람들의 이상한 삶의 방식에 어리둥절한다. 주술적인 것을 절대적으로 믿고, 있지도 않은 개를 산책시키며, 모두 몸에 총을 지니고 술을 마시며, 어떤 사람들은 파리를 몰고 다니는 등 도무지 이해할 수 없는 일들 뿐이다. 그러던 중 의문의 살인사건이 벌어지고, 사건에 휘말린 짐은 그것이 점잖은 모습 뒤에 숨겨진 지저분한 관계에서 비롯되었음을 알게 된다.

표류되어 뉴욕 앞 바다까지 들어온 보트에서 좀비가 발견되자 이를 조사하러 행방된 아버지를 찾는 딸과 신문 기자가 함께 섬으로 떠난다. 그곳에는 섬 사람들이 전염병으로 죽어 좀비가 된다. 그리고 살아있는 사람을 먹으려 달려들고, 먹힌 사람들은 곧 좀비가 되어버린다. 이 기이한 일들은 과학적으로는 증명이 되지 않는 그저 부두교와 관련된 것으로 짐작하는데, 이미 온 세상은 좀비로 가득차게 된다.

거대한 트럭들만이 무서운 속도로 지나 다니는 한적한 도로변. 이 외딴 곳에 루이스(Louis Creed: 데일 미드키프 분) 일가가 이사오면서부터 공포는 시작된다. 짐을 풀기도 전에 딸 앨리(Ellie Creed: 브라이즈 버달 분)는 집 앞 그네에서 떨어지고, 아들 게이지(Gage Creed: 미코 휴스 분)는 트럭에 치일 뻔하며, 집 앞에는 이상한 분위기의 어디로 통하는지 알 수 없는 작은 오솔길이 있다. 주위의 건물이라고는 애완동물 묘지의 관리인인 크렌들씨((Jud Crandall: 프레드 그윈 분)가 거주하고 있는 관리소 뿐이다. 고양이가 죽자 루이스는 크렌들과 함께 인디언의 묘지에 묻게 된다. 그런데 다음날 고양이가 살아 돌아온다. 하지만 고양이는 전과는 다른 행동을 하는데.
