Through the home video 'letters' sent back and forth, petty jealousies, love liaisons and financial squabbles drive the family to the brink of war, a situation that reflects the collapsing state of affairs in what was then Yugoslavia.

Damjan
War arrives to a small secluded village in Vojvodina. The Germans take a group of hostages through the village and on their way molest a small boy. As revenge, the boy sets the German corn on fire. An intelligent and shrewd Gestapo officer Šicer arrives to investigate. He does not even suspect that he is up against a group of small boys, led by Milan and Vaso, and orders that all men from the village be taken to custody. He announces that one man will be shot each day unless the real culprit steps forward. Children contact the partisans.

A man and a woman, each with a stable marriage of their own, meet in the wagon compartment. The short encounter of two strangers causes restlessness within their personal views about the world, implying possible romance. Once the train reaches its destination, they go apart without a single word spoken, and return to their world of security.
Pavlov bivši kolega
Pavle Pavlovic, a steel worker, openly talks about the issues in the steel factory in a television show. He receives an apartment from the board, takes his statement back, but looses the trust of his colleagues. He starts all over again: in another company he gains new friends, however while facing the criminals who illegally transport workers abroad, he loses his life.
Čovek iz kafane
An unbearable stench makes quite wide confusion among the residents of Belgrade. The microbiologist Pavle can not remember immediately where he smelled it, but recalls the event he witnessed as a child and the smell of a burning human. A visit to the crematorium gives him the assurance: The high number of suicides in the city has meant that the ovens are in continuous operation and will probably stay that way - because the stench is slowly making other people commit suicide, too.
A man comes back to life after his physical death in order to identify his persecutors, who may be real or not.

A guard prevents the inmate's escape from the prison. During his second attempt, the inmate decides to save guard's life who have been fallen into the river while trying to catch him. Since the guard's job is now to keep an eye on him in the cell, they spend a lot time together and their hatred turns into a sincere friendship. The guard wants to help inmate to escape again.
Poštar
A disabled man takes on the system when his pension is tied up in a morass of red tape. His story is revealed on a television program, and the star of the show is admonished for trying to incite the public against the system. The media, the man and the television manager gather to try to talk out the misunderstandings they all experience with the system of slow-moving social injustices. The message of the film also states that the days of media scrutiny and public-opinion feedback are here to stay.
Everything happens during the course of a day. A toddler looks for his lost toy, some people look for their happiness, circling around in some kind of a lost kaleidoscope; they love and hate, suffer and enjoy, being that honest or fake, joyful or saddening. In the end, the boy finds his kaleidoscope, but the question remains if grownups have found their dreams, or at least their traces.

An ex-servant becomes a lonely Shepard, killer hidden in the mountain woods during wartime. A psychological study of a hero who, after being badly beaten up by Gestapo, rats on his comrades and friends and becomes their vicious killer. Now the death seems like a salvation to him.
