For her extraordinary film essay, Living the Light, Director and Director of Photography Claire Pijman had access to the thousands of Hi8 video diaries, pictures and Polaroids that Müller photographed while he was at work on one of the more than 70 features he shot throughout his career; often with long term collaborators such as Wim Wenders, Jim Jarmusch and Lars von Trier. The film intertwines these images with excerpts of his oeuvre, thus creating a fluid and cinematic continuum. In his score for Living the Light Jim Jarmusch gives this wide raging scale of life and art an additional musical voice.

2015년 8월 21일, 파리로 향하는 9364번 탈리스 열차에서 일어날 뻔 했던 테러 공격 소식은 전세계를 놀라게 했다. 세 명의 젊은 미국인들의 용기로 인해 막을 수 있었던 테러는 15시 17분 파리행 열차에서 사건의 실제 인물들이 재현한다. 클린트 이스트우드 감독은 이들의 어린 시절부터 예상할 수 없던 테러 공격 시도까지 이야기를 따라가며 테러를 막는 데 가장 위대한 무기가 되어 주었던 세 사람의 우정과 이들의 얽힌 삶, 500여 승객의 삶을 재앙으로부터 구해낸 용기에 대해 말한다.

산소통을 캐리어처럼 끌고 호흡기를 생명줄처럼 차고 있는 헤이즐. 집에 틀어박혀 리얼리티 쇼나 보며 하루를 축내는 자신을 걱정하는 가족에게 등 떠밀려 어쩔 수 없이 참석한 암 환자 모임에서 꽃미소가 매력적인 어거스터스를 만난다. 담배를 입에 물었지만 불은 붙이지 않는 ‘상징적인 행동’으로 헤이즐의 맹비난을 재치있게 받아넘긴 어거스터스는 시크하고 우울증마저 겪는 헤이즐을 두근거리게 만든다. 두 사람은 소설책을 나눠 읽으며 급속도로 가까워지고, 어거스터스는 헤이즐이 그토록 좋아하는 네덜란드의 작가를 만나게 해주기 위해 ‘지니의 소원’을 빌어 암스테르담 여행을 제안한다. 가족과 주변의 걱정과 만류에도 불구하고 생애 처음으로 여행길에 오른 두 사람. 자신을 시한폭탄이라 생각하고 사랑하는 것들 과 선을 그었던 그녀와, 거절당할까 두려워 진실을 감춰왔던 어거스터스는 서로에게 속마음을 털어놓기 시작하는데... 예측불허 이들의 사랑은 어떻게 될까?

쉰 살의 베테랑 웨이터인 에드가는 변화를 원한다. 그의 아내는 오랫동안 병상에 누워있고, 자신은 싸구려 식당에서 잡일을 하며 살아간다. 이웃들은 무례하기 짝이 없고, 애인과의 정사도 예전 같지 않다. 그러던 중 그의 인생을 소설보다 더 기이하게 만들어버리는 일이 벌어진다. 그의 인생을 쓰고 있는 어떤 작가가 있다는 사실을 알게 된 것이다. 새 삶을 살기 위한 필수요소들, 새로운 애인, 새로운 일, 새로운 이웃들을 갈망하며 에드가는 작가를 찾아 나선다. [웨이터]는 알렉스 반 바르메르담 감독의 전작 [그림]을 능가하는 블랙코미디이다. 상상력을 자극하는 내러티브, 독특한 유머, 역동적이고 개성 넘치는 캐릭터를 다시 한 번 만끽할 수 있다.

One cold winter's day, Jacob and his sister Marie are abandoned in a wood by their out of work father. In his jacket Jacob finds a letter from their mother urging them to go to her brother in Spain. Once in Spain, it turns out that their uncle is dead. Marie meets Diego, a wealthy charming Spanish surgeon, and falls in love with him. Diego lives with his sick, domineering sister, Teresa. To Jacob's astonishment, Marie wants to marry Diego. Even after the wedding has taken place, jealous Jacob tries to get his sister away from Diego. When this doesn't succeed, Jacob starts to provoke his brother-in-law. It soon transpires that no one will go unpunished for this.

The film is based on the popular Dutch childrens book by Chris van Abkoude. In a Dutch port in 1921 lives a 10-year-old orphan boy known to everyone simply as Little Crumb. His poverty-stricken mother Lize van Dien filled with shame was forced to turn him over to Mrs. Koster soon after he was born. Foster mother Mrs. Koster, who has cared for him since he was a baby, is very poor too, unable to support him by herself and proves to be a cruel taskmaster who insists Crumb bring her money before shell feed him. Somehow he must earn his keep out on the streets and can only go home after he has earned enough money. Crumb becomes an urchin stealing from the streets barrows and the shops to stay alive, sleeping in churches or huddled in doorways. Sometimes he has to run off from the police and he has earned the enmity of the most grownups around him.

A video blogger's desperate search for his girlfriend, only visible via his video camera as hostile entities stalk him from the darkness, tearing away his reality to reveal a horrifying truth: this is their domain, he's their test subject.
