Girls in Prison (1956)

Jean Raymond an upper class woman with a gambling addiction, is given a twelve-month prison sentence resulting from her inability to pay her debts. At first she is overwhelmingly depressed by life in the women's prison; gradually, however, her misery is relieved by the many close friends she makes there. This sympathetic drama traces the contrasting lives and often faltering progress of the inmates of a women's prison.

Japan conquers China just before WW2 starts. Chinese women are captured and placed in concentration camps, where they are tortured and humiliated. Some try to escape incurring enormous risks, and death if they fail.

Kang-hie recalls from her cell how she was used by Japanese detectives to track down and destroy the Korean Independence fighters. She manages to escape from prison during a break and proceeds to hunt down her former lover who was a Japanese agent.

Innocent women are being kidnapped by a group of ninja and taken to a secret prison camp where they are forced to work as slave labour. Furthermore, the evil head ninja has ambitions to sell 53 of their number off to a high bidder in the Middle East. All is not lost however, for Jenny, a beautiful female ninja has been hired to infiltrate the camp and rescue Sylvia, one of the captive women there.

Nicole's only salvation now is her boyfriend and Detective Nate Penna, the policeman put on the case after she is reported missing.

Having been sentenced to death for murdering their husbands or boyfriends several women from all walks of life are transported to a notorious island prison run by cruel staff whose policies are under suspicion from a Member of Parliament. The idea being to see if they can be reformed before deciding if they should be executed. Their only way out of the living hell they are in is to escape....can they do it?

In this made-for-television movie, a woman (Ann Jillian) is sent to prison for assisting her good-for-nothing boyfriend in an embezzling scheme.

A reporter and a lawyer investigate a women's prison and help an inmate who does not belong there.
