She settles in Abidjan, where, ten years later, she has become a university student. As part of her studies, she visits the Taureg tribe on the edge of the Sahara before at last returning to post-Apartheid South Africa.

Michael Jennings é um engenheiro de computação contratado por corporações para descobrir os segredos de empresas concorrentes. Quando lhe é oferecida a oportunidade de entrar em contato com ela usando o método do EVP, Jonathan inicialmente recusa mas, esperançoso com a possibilidade de reencontrá-la, acaba aceitando. O que ele não contava era que a situação fugisse do seu controle.
