Gus é uma nuvem cinzenta solitária e insegura que esculpe filhotes. Cada nuvem é responsável por esculpir um tipo de filhote, como de cachorro, gato ou bebê humano. O problema é que os bebês que Gus é responsável por esculpir, diferente de outras nuvens, são um tanto perigosos, como crocodilos, porcos-espinhos, entre outros. E a cegonha Peck, companheiro inseparável de Gus, é quem lida com a entrega desses filhotes. As criações de Gus são verdadeiras obras de arte, mas para Peck não são mais que um punhado de entregas. Á medida que as criações de Gus ficam mais “indisciplinadas”, o trabalho de Peck fica mais difícil. Daqui a 400 anos no futuro, uma doença dizimou grande parte da população da Terra. A cidade de Bregna é povoada por sobreviventes e também por cientistas, que comandam o local. Filme dividido em duas partes (Morte e Renascimento). Os eventos de "Renascimento" ocorrem 17 horas depois do final do Episódio 24. Tanto este filme, como o próximo (O Fim de Evangelion), caracterizam o "final alternativo" de Neon Genesis Evangelion. Os episódios 25 e 26, portanto, NÃO fazem parte deste enredo, onde a primeira parte é uma reedição dos primeiros 24 episódios do anime. A segunda parte consiste em uma nova animação e história que segue após o Episódio 24.

Um Minion, vendo muitos donos passearem com seus cachorros, quer um filhote também. Ele tenta arrumar uma joaninha, mas não dá certo. Felizmente o UFO que expulsa a joaninha, de alguma forma, concorda em se tornar um Bichinho de Estimação.

A perfect, fast and hilarious montage. Using images from Artis (Amsterdam Zoo), Bert Haanstra shows that a couple of similarities can be discovered between human and animal. Particularly the manner in which human and ape are confronted with each other, is significant. The images speak for themselves, human voices or commentary is absent. The ironic music of Pim Jacobs does add an extra dimension to the whole. With regards to human and animal Haanstra limits himself for the time being to this short film, recorded with a hidden camera. Later on, in several big films, he would return to this subject.

Power saws and a heartbeat score this experimental light-and-color shot by Ed Emshwiller.

Billy Bitzer filmed 21 short actualities inside the Pittsburgh Westinghouse Works in April and May of 1904. Audiences of the day would have been treated to footage of factory panoramas, women winding armatures and turbines being assembled. In "The Lead Shoes", we can neither thrust in our eyes nor our ears to help us understand how time flows or how space is. Therefore, Peterson forces us to take both space and time as relative experiences. The consistent disorientation in the film and our consistent inability to perceive them in absolute terms become the main subject of the film. Cornell combines Vaudeville jugglers, animal acts, circus performers, children eating and dancing, science demonstrations, mythical excerpts, and crucial freeze-frames of faces into a timeless structure, totally unconcerned with our usual expectations of “montage” or cinematic progression. He collects images and preserves them in some kind of cinematic suspension that is hard – impossible – to describe. The date 1961 refers to the addition of Teiji Ito's soundtrack and its subsequent completion, but the film was likely shot in 1960 or earlier. - David Lewis
